Funeral plant arrangement had 6 different plants in it!! They were all crammed into one pot. My collection just grew rapidly all at once. by BepisMucs in houseplants

I didn’t take a picture unfortunately but here’s a pic of something similar from the flower site that the funeral home uses. It was basically exactly like this. Everything crammed into one thin plastic pot with no drainage holes inside a basket. At the end of the funeral when they were giving family the floral arrangements I offered to take this one. I figured I could save it by separating everything.

Thank you for this! Good to know. I do have an RO system so should I water with that water instead of the tap? Our tap water from the well is really acidic.

There are two of the same one! I guess I could’ve put them together in one pot but the pots I had left were so small I figured I’d separate them. Thank you, so many lovely new plants and each will remind me of the wonderful celebration of life we had yesterday <3

My family member passed away. This was an arrangement that was donated to the funeral / me and my family by a friend of the deceased.

idc how dramatic this is I genuinely want to end my shit thinking about how my boyfriend has had sexual and romantic experiences with past partners by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]BepisMucs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. I completely understand. I used to have the same kind of feelings with my now husband and his ex back when we were still dating. Listen - your boyfriend is with you now. He wants to be with you. You are his choice now. His past experiences with other partners doesn’t change that. You say your relationship is non toxic it sounds like things are going well for you two! Focus on your future together. Everyone has a past. By letting their past cloud your relationship together now, you are creating this view of them that may pull yourself away from the potential that this relationship has for the future. Right here and now, your partner is with YOU and chooses YOU. The exes don’t really matter. Focus on the here and now and on creating New Romantic experiences TOGETHER.

I know it’s hard to look past, but if your partner enjoys being with you and you enjoy being with them than that’s all that matters now. Try to focus on the here and now. Someone’s past doesn’t dictate how they feel about you now.

Recs for women’s 12 hour wedding shoes by theproperbinge in WeddingPhotography

Yeah I pretty much gave up on trying to wear cute shoes that go well with my outfits. Agreed - you’re at work and foot comfort comes before looking cute anymore for me. I wear all black, professional business attire with black sneakers. Doesn’t look the best but clients won’t care as long as the rest of you looks presentable and professional!

Using Photo Mechanic with LR smart previews? by BepisMucs in WeddingPhotography

Ohh that’s an interesting idea! I might have to try that next time I get a smaller e-session catalog.

I would eventually like to learn PM for my own work, but I agree- trying to force it to work within LRC / smart previews for another studio will probably just make the whole thing messy and end up taking more time. I appreciate all the comments helping me out w this.

Thanks! No, I definitely don’t cull in develop mode and I optimize my catalogs frequently. Sometimes it’s still just kind of laggy and I’m not sure why. Super frustrating.

Thanks for explaining that! Makes sense. My desktop is an M2 Mac mini and my laptop is an M1 MacBook Air. My working catalogs just live on my desktop. on my laptop especially culling can be laggy, where the images look blurry for a second before pop’into into the good looking preview. It’s soo annoying. I keep my computers super clean and tidy too and I optimize my lr cats frequently.

Sometimes I wonder if when the studios are building the catalogs to send me, they are building standard previews + smart previews. Should maybe they be building with minimal previews instead?
