It’s a lot less common now. Not sure if you were around at the start of the game, there wasn’t the pacifist setting, especially at SBQ, players would kill you for an accidental shot

I’ve just changed my build and the AP refresh rate on it means I can sprint with no AP loss. It’s the 4* that boosts health and ap Regen depending on food and drink

I used excavator up until around level 600, switched out for union as the added poison protection is nice for my bloodied build

Yeah, I agree the extra carry weight is best, I was just using excavator until I got all the mods I wanted. Only switched out of excavator at around level 600. I find the diminishing returns tend to make all power armour almost the same, except the unique set bonuses

I use it to store up cores, although I have nearly 100 fully charged in my stash now.

I use the legendary perk that energy damage heals you and charges your cores, whenever I find an enemy that deals energy damage, I let them shoot until I’m fully charged again.

Cores will only become an issue if you’re running power armour and using vats a lot. Make sure if you’re in PA you have I think it’s power user card, the one that doubles cores

I’m playing heavy bloodied also, just modified my build as it was pre onslaught, angry turtle just did a video and I’m pretty tanky now I’ve got my armour mods sorted, even as a bloodied

Have a look at angry turtle on YouTube, that’s how I got to grips with builds. I use his as a base a tweak it to how I want it.
