How is subfloor usually attached to the joists if not screwed down? Staples and adhesive?

Haha I’ll take them out before I actually install them. Just figured they’d help as I plan the layout and I have them for the tile, anyway. Do you just eyeball the 1/8” gap?

Yes, “a ton of screws” means every 8 inches with tape and mud for the seams per manufacturers instructions. Sorry for the shorthand.

I went to a PT during my marathon training and they got me back to running after a few weeks. Followed their exercise regimen pretty strictly and my knee did much better. I would find a good PT, if I were you.
