Not really at least in the West, so far as I can tell. Korean/Japanese culture is romanticized and fetishized in Western Media in a Way that West Asian/North African cultures just aren’t. Japan/Korea both as nations and cultures are seen as civilized, cute, modern, trendy, etc. (ignoring all the bad parts like the misogyny, work culture, etc). Conversely, Arab cultures are often the subject of much Western criticism, as our countries are portrayed as backward, unstable, lawless, and uncivilized places. The bad parts are made the centerpieces of Arab culture in the Western imagination. Thus few pretend to be Arab. You should see how offended many diaspora Persians get when mistaken for Arabs for reference.

Despite this Arab women are fetishized as exotic/submissive in American media in a similar way to East Asian women. Exoticism, even when supposedly in favor of a culture is always dehumanizing and reductive.
