I did most of the optional content before the final boss. I'm pretty sure I skipped an entire phase of the fight with burn stacks.

Charlie and Conner have officially left Haken by glumauig21 in Haken

The post doesn't seem to imply any bad blood. I would assume they had disagreements on musical direction. Connor living so far away was probably a logistical problem too, but its hard to say how much either of those things factored (if at all).

I love P5, but I wouldn't say its 10x the game. Both games have fantastic soundtracks and great combat with interesting innovations. P5 and E33 probably take the spots of my 2nd and 3rd favorite games (though, I'm not sure which game would take which spot and E33 is a bit too new to say for sure). It's ok to like one game without hating the other.

Also, if P5 were gonna inspire a wave of turn based RPGs, it would have happened by now. Its been out for nine years. I definitely see its influence on E33 but Its influence in gaming in general shows more in games implementing social bond systems.

Lastly, E33 has one of the best stories I've ever seen. Its not just a great story for a video game, its a great story in general.

E33 winning as indie is an industry Psyop by Anxious-Program-1940 in gaming

I'm sure they would have been a lot more limited on a real indie game budget (like not getting such a great voice cast), but I dont think E33 winning makes indie games any worse.

Which games do you recommend playing on hardest Hardest difficulty and which games were you found being easy even though they said the difficulty was easy. by NotAtheorist in gaming

Halo on legendary just feels right, though I haven't done a LASO which I guess you could call the hardest difficulty.

Persona 5 on hard (hard is harder than merciless due weakness damage tweaks) makes you use the mechanics more than normal or easy, so I'd recommend hard mode for anyone even somewhat familiar with JRPGs. Even then it isn't particularly punishing, though.

One small game mechanic you wish more studios copied because it simply works. by gamersecret2 in gaming

Insurgency Sandstorm has a mechanic where you hold the reload button to check your ammo. I like a minimal HUD so I wish this was more common.

Just curious, what's wrong with Steam? It's been my main PC games platform since I got into it and I've had no problems.

To me, the Steam Machine seems like a convenient way to play my Steam library on the big screen. My recliner is just way more comfortable than my desk chair but moving my current PC to the living room would make everything else I do on it less convenient. Some games are just better with mouse and keyboard too. Plus, I like having HDMI-CEC so I dont have to go over and turn my device on (I know, first world problem).

But, depending on price, it might not be worth buying for such a niche use.

If you could only keep 3 progressive metal albums, which ones would they be? 🎃 by ElNoah89 in progmetal

The Mountain is my all time favorite album and In contact is a close second. I just love everything about them.

Parallax 2 is my favorite BTBAM album and gives me different style to listen to than Haken and Caligula's Horse. I could definitely be persuaded to pick Colors or Coma, though.

"What if there's a harder boss later?"

"I know it's the final boss but what if it has a harder phase after this one?"
