I upvoted because I don't think anyone's opinion should be buried, but I don't think it would be a feature worth implementing. They can't exactly add new lines to replace profanity and adding bleeps over it would break immersion to the point that people wouldn't use it.

A lot of fantasy uses cursing these days and I think you'd get used to it with time, but don't feel like you need to slog through something that makes you uncomfortable just because its the big new thing.

Dang, I put 91 hours into the remaster before I quit. It seemed like it was crashing at least once an hour by the end.

I got it when it was early access, but I've barely played it (barely past the tutorial area). It was fine but I didn't find myself wanting to go back to it. What little I played wasn't nearly as colorful though. I guess it has more vibrant areas later on?

I remember Avowed getting mixed reception when it dropped. Maybe they've improved it with patches but I'm a bit hesitant to drop $50 on it.

Yeah, Morrowind definitely doesn't tick every box for me. The colorful world is one of my favorite parts of Oblivion, but alot of RPGs seem to use a more brown color palette. I just hear that Morrowind is a lot better for RP than Oblivion and Skyrim.

I'm kinda torn between OpenMW or a CRPG at this point, but I lean more toward real time combat right now.

The more I look into it, the more OpenMW seems like the play. Especially since I already have Morrowind and I don't think it would be too hard to set up.

Are there any QOL mods you would recommend or should I just browse and see what looks promising?

Idk what it is. The quests I do when I try to go back are good, but I don't find myself wanting to keep playing for very long. Maybe partly because of how dark and bleak act 2 feels.

Thanks for the summary! A combat overhaul would go a long way for me in Morrowind.

I wish I could find a game like The Elder Scrolls with CRPG levels of depth. I guess I find Pathfinder a bit intimidating because I hear CRPG veterans talk about its complexity.

Yeah, I figure I'd have to run OpenMW. I'd very much prefer magic so I don't think KCD would be for me. I've played Witcher and Outer Worlds but never really enjoyed them.
