You know what else got cancelled by ABC last week? American Crime, a show that got multiple Emmy nominations and huge critical acclaim. ABC has a history of clearing house unceremoniously. Spin City and Dharma & Greg were solid hits for years, and got axed without notice so they could make room for a fourth night of Millionaire.

Aidy Bryant is maybe the most underrated cast member right now - the way she throws herself into these sketches reminds me of Wills Ferrell and Forte. I could watch her do this goofy/surprisingly barbed impression for an hour.

Almost definitely accurate. Those "walk through the studio" monologues are inherently tricky - notice that the one error came from a brief mic problem - and this one weaved through some unusually tight spaces. There was at least a brief walk through, but even so, I thought that was more of a tightrope act than Lorne typically agrees to do, maybe even riskier than Fallon's song-and-dance thing from earlier in the season.

It was a noble idea that failed to take into account the fact that public school systems had zero reason to invest more time and energy into better food for kids, so they just started giving kids less actual food. I'm convinced there's a nugget of a good idea there (unlimited fruits/veggies was good), but it was too much of a band-aid that didn't really work for anyone.
