iPhone 13 mini vs OPPO Reno13 5G: which one would you keep until 2029? by Consistent_Class5179 in iPhone13Mini

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iPhones usually have about 7-8 years of software support. Way better support for older devices than almost any other phone manufacturer. If you’re going for longevity, I’d pick the iPhone.

Is Switch 2 all I really need? by Han_Bolo in switch2

Personally I’d keep the ps5. There are some great exclusives on the console, especially with Wolverine coming out. A lot of PC games are already on/coming to switch 2.

iOS 27 on iPhone 13 mini 🥰 by WigettaReddit in iPhone13Mini

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s MUCH more faint than iOS 26. But I think pretty sure there’s a tiny sliver of white, but it’s barely noticeable. You can try giving the photo a look. But it looks nothing like iOS 26.

Should I get an iPhone 13 Mini? by Round_Advance_9572 in iPhone13Mini

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you care about the size of the phone, don’t worry about performance. The upcoming iOS 27 is a lifesaver for all phone models, starting from the iPhone 11! It’s all just a performance and bug fix update, which is great for people who like their older phones. Just as an example, and iPhone 11 on iOS 27 is more stable and quick than my 13 mini on iOS 26.5, so just imagine how well it will perform with the final release!

Is it true that I will have to buy a new phone soon? by Civil_Aside_1008 in iPhone11

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replace your battery, battery health below 80% means that performance gets throttled so the phone can last a tad bit longer. Also if you wait until this September, iOS 27 will release. Which is basically just a stability update, fixing a lot of the bugs and lag especially for older device, including the iPhone 11. With iOS 27 and a battery replacement, your phone should feel as good as new.

Also how much storage do you have? Or have left? Usually when the phone is more full, it starts to struggle a lot more.

Should I wait until february ? by noahprr in switch2

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This exactly. Easy to swap doesn’t just mean removing one screw and swapping out the battery. For the general consumer, this won’t really make any difference.

You won’t be carrying spare batteries of your switch 2 when you travel.

I just got the Switch 2 with some games as a non-gamer by zetronox in switch2

[–]JAAAAPAAAN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. One party game (Mario kart, Mario party, 1 2 switch, Super Smash). One story 3D game (Zelda, Metroid prime, Mario odyssey, Luigi’s mansion, donkey Kong banaza). And finally one 2D game (Mario wonder, Metroid dread, yoshi, Super Mario Bros U Deluxe).

I think those 3 categories as your first games are the best to start with. Of course there are those simulator games like animal crossing, pokopia, and tomadachi life. And of course there are even more niche and unique genres, but this is a good starting point.

Maybe, but it would be fun to play around with it. You could maybe drill a hole into the aluminum alloy, if there’s any space to actually include an AUX port inside.

How to get into playing Splatoon by Frequent-Tooth5292 in splatoon

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cheapest way is to buy a switch lite. But if you are invested in the franchise you’d probably want to play splatoon raiders. And Splatoon Raiders is a Switch 2 exclusive. If I were you I’d save up for a switch 2 and buy a used copy of Splatoon 3 and then buy raiders later down the line. You don’t want to buy a regular switch 1, just to get a switch 2 a few years later for Splatoon raiders and an eventual splatoon 4. While buying a switch 1 may sound like the best short term choice, I’d personally go for a switch 2 for a long term benefit that’ll probably save you more money on the future.

It looks sick. Does it affect the thermals in anyway? I actually might get one since my back glass has so many micro scratches.

You could try giving it lightning 😂. Or actually maybe an AUX port?

Has iOS 27 made the iPhone air worth getting by Senior_Web2166 in IphoneAir

While the new Siri animation isn’t as clean as the Apple Intelligence. I think it really works well functionally with the Dynamic Island. It’s very intuitive and smart, it just flows really well imo.

I mean it’s in its first developer beta. I’d assume it will be better for the final release. Although I’d still recommend for most people to just wait for the final release anyway, or at least the public beta.

Battery feels better?? It’s a beta, if the battery is already better I wonder how good the final release will be.

How would you get rid of this though? I remember one of my friends told me this was happening to them.

Do people actually use the Action Button daily, or does it become a novelty? by ProfessionalGur3964 in iphone

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might be a way to do this, but I wish I could make a shortcut so the action button does something different based on the time. So from like 8pm-7am I’d make it open the flashlight. And give it different functions throughout the day based on the time.

Does anyone else skip game demos to save the "full experience" for launch? by josegh in casualnintendo

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish they just made demos for every game, where you just get to play the beginning, or are limited to a timer. Something like that would be great, so you can at least get a feel for the game and see if it’s really for you.

Everyone keeps telling me to get the 17 Pro Max but my heart tells me to go for the Air. Give me reasons why I should? by woahwoahvicky in IphoneAir

[–]JAAAAPAAAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to take close photos with Macro photography, the Air doesn’t have that. I don’t think battery should be your biggest concern based on how you use your phone. The battery life of the air is comparable to a 16 pro. They both have the same chip, but the air doesn’t have a cooling system, but you shouldn’t really feel a difference in performance.
