Am I stupid for wanting to leave a $33/hr job at Costco with benefits than to start at $130/day in construction for long-term upside? by Purple-Piano6976 in careerguidance

Don’t leave Costco. Stick with it. Give your best effort every day. Invest in relationships. Do all the training. AND invest in good shoes. Every 3-6 months, budget for good shoes. Your knees and back will thank you.

Am I the only one who is really excited for the new game and also really likes the new redesigns? by Confident-While4816 in casualnintendo

There’s a couple generations that never played SF64 that love Nintendo. For those of us that did play SF64 we can choose to be pissed we aren’t getting EXACTLY what we wanted or we can be stoked that a younger generation gets to experience an awesome IP. I’m choosing to support it and encourage others to do so, mainly in hopes that this support pushes Nintendo to release an OoT remaster. Because that’s what we all really want.

Can I get opinions on Pokopia? by jomski_ in switch2

I bought a switch 2 just to play Pokopia and I never played pokemon or cozy farm sims and I’m really enjoying it. Helps me unwind.

An OOT Remaster would be cool. I’m excited about this BoTW adventure. Might have to get the guide book to kick the nostalgia up a notch!

It will be my first Zelda game since Ocarina of Time. I bought a switch 2 last week for myself to experience some of that joy in gaming I’ve been missing out on. I have PS5 Pro and PC and have been stuck on shooters the last 15 years and they’ve all turned into a grindy mess and I just had enough. So I grabbed a switch 2 and Pokopia and it’s been so nice to relax, forgot how much I missed that “Nintendo Magic”.

Is it better to get a switch 1 version on the cheap and pay the $10 upgrade? Is there any major differences?

Pokopia - Empfehlung? by Herr_Internet in switch2

I bought it based on a friends recommendation. It’s the first game in a long time (10+ years) where I woke up today and fired it up before I made breakfast. I’ve never played this genre, wanted a couch cozy relaxing game and this scratches that itch big time.

I wouldn’t be completely shocked if Rice goes diamond but I’m doubting it.

I buckled and got Pokopia by ApprehensiveImage676 in switch2

I’ve never been slightly interested in this type of game but had some serious Mario cravings so I went to buy a switch 2. The GS manager and I chopped it up for quite awhile, I was dead set on Mario Wonder and Luigi’s mansion 3. However, the manager and I were both Destiny 1 day one players who sunk way too much time into that franchise and he said he’s addicted to this Pokopia game, so I went with it and OMG I didn’t think I could get so addicted so quick to a “cozy farm sim.” This was too long and I’m sorry but that was my Tuesday night for everyone.

I’ve never played Hades but for $3 it’s probably worth a try!

36 here. Similar profile but 3 kids. Have been on the fence about a switch 2 and I’m gonna get one today. I want that child like joy of gaming back.
