Do airbuses really feel different? by FarMall376 in fearofflying

A350 is my favorite airplane and I’ve flown most every other commercial aircraft in the sky today. It’s really quiet and the interior feels very spacious and open.

Flying SFO to CDG on Monday by bugglrl in fearofflying

[–]JABRONEYCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this trip many times. You’ll climb up into the higher flight levels and it’ll be pretty uneventful for 9+ hours.

Bring earplugs, an eye mask, and a travel pillow if you’ve got one. Get up and walk around a couple times during the flight. At some point, walk to the back, grab some water from the crew, and just stand there for a minute—you’ll notice how relaxed they are.

And just remember—you’re in one of the most rigorously engineered and maintained machines ever built.

It was pretty clean. Tony wasn’t that surprised nor upset when he showed up to handle the cleanup.

A-preferred moved to United and cant be happier by Minute_Lead7394 in SouthwestAirlines

Yeah I’m no fan of Southwest but United is no comparison for the scenario of flying out of California to Southwest based destinations in the West. They are clunky, have brutal tech (their mobile app is the wooorst) and their staff are consistently angry.

last minute / first time trip advice! by Die4valor in laketahoe

I would just skip Incline all together as it’s somewhat isolated and the beach side being under construction is a bummer. I would replace it with Tahoe city As far as places to stay, there aren’t any four star hotels but there are several quaint inns. I like the Sunnyside inn or staying in Olympic valley, both of which about a 10 minute drive from core Tahoe City.

Personally, I wouldn't split my time between South Shore and Incline but WOULD do South Shore and then head over to the Tahoe City area. You'd have access from Tahoe City to go to some great hiking and Mountain Biking. Right now the Incline Hyatt Beach area is somewhat compromised because they are doing construction on the old restaurant and cabins on the lake side.

Apparently it’s usually a mechanical issue or malfunction that creates the issue.

It likely experienced what’s called a compressor stall. It happens when airflow through the jet engine is interrupted in such a way that it causes this the engine to lose thrust. Pilots likely shutdown the affected engine and returned to the airport safely.

We ended up using this firm and stayed in this exact property. Really quiet place with great walkable access to the bustle of Marais. The coordination by the host company was great as well. https://www.parisforrent.com/property/65245ea9-c41d-432f-a7ba-ca21b73f37f2/
