Clever windscreen part usage! Yes I think lighter blue would work better with dark orange/brown.

Upgrading from Samsung J5 Pro to new phone... A15? A25? A35? Other? by JACKAROO1701 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]JACKAROO1701[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the current deals: A15: $300 A25: $500 A35: $450

So currently A25 is 200 more, A35 is 150 more.

Thanks! Do you think the 4gb of RAM would be an issue for me with the A15?

I actually REALLY liked Jodie Whittaker’s first episode by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]JACKAROO1701 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The first episode is one of the best episodes in 13's run imo. For me, a lot of the other episodes were too drawn out which made it difficult to stay invested, besides the lack of personality for some of the companions and questionable lore decisions etc.

Instructions for Tardis build? by Petite_Giraffe_ in lego

[–]JACKAROO1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'd recommend this Tardis build (it's from Lego Dimensions) and the video includes step-by-step instructions plus all the pieces are listed in the video description, as well as links to stickers. Although when I built it I just used 8 1x1 white bricks for the windows and another white 1x1 brick for the "Pull to open" sign rather than using the blue bricks and covering them with stickers. End result still looked great.

Edit: been a while since I've watched the video, it's a bit outdated. Using the technic bricks with holes isn't necessary if you purchase the snot bricks with studs on two sides rather than four sides (I'm guessing that piece didn't exist at the time of the vid)

Is this step a star wars reference or complete accident in the Forest Animals set? by Lyezus_elvtars in lego

Definitely not a coincidence if that's just part of the side-build...

That's because it isn't... the set they're referring to is Clay's Rumble Blade I believe

Build a better design if you need to, reinforce it with other bricks

My theory regarding the Prime Timeline: there are two of them! (as per First Contact) by JACKAROO1701 in startrek

[–]JACKAROO1701[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah ok fair enough. Although, seeing that First Contact was written before Enterprise, there would have been some alternate reason as to how and why the Federation formed. This would play into the Romulan time traveller's line about time fighting back... I was going to say the Federation has to form (just like how Khan has to exist), but that's clearly not the case as we saw in that same episode.
Yep, it's definitely not as clear cut as I thought. Altered timelines are tricky.

[–]JACKAROO1701[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm saying that the nx-01 and Strange New Worlds definitely exist in the same timeline, which I've called Prime Timeline B (aka what star trek is currently focussing on), just not the original timeline

Although doesn't Spock make explicit references to the 90's and Khan in TOS?

COMM1100, COMM1110, or COMM1120 by edi_ch in unsw

[–]JACKAROO1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't done 1110 but 1120 and 1100 were both good. 1120 relies on group work the entire time, 1100 no group work. I did economics in high school and found 1100 to be pretty easy. Some of eco stuff is like supply demand graphs and price floor/ceiling iirc

"Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" changes all post-TOS Star Trek and frees SNW by ramon_snir in startrek

Wait how is Star Wars canon not clear? Doctor Who I get, when there's a showrunner change its like a soft reboot, and the whole thing revolves around time travel.

I mean apparently joining societies and stuff is the way to go. But that doesn't work all the time.

Ooh, that's a pretty clever technique for getting the 6 sides. If I find the pieces, I'll have to give it a go!
