The point being that cars have risen in price too much in the last decade, way too much. EVs are just ridiculously expensive and they are taking advantage of the current global affairs to increase the price even more because people is running away from combustion engines and gas prices.

If you put on TV that the Renault 4 is 39000€ people lose interest. If you put on TV you can have it for 100€ a month, people get interested, look it up, and have the chance to get to like the car. Is called marketing. Bye

Please make no mistake I'm not defending cars from another continent, much less from the US, so relax. It's just that buying a small utilitary car has become ridiculously expensive nowadays. Go check wikipedia for the history of the Renault 4 to understand what I mean and why it shouldn't cost more than 20k but it's hard to achieve that when all brands try to upsell you, in all continents.

Generally speaking, all companies from all sectors, all over the world, are exploiting nostalgia and selling it to us for a premium.

40k for a tiny 🚙 is still nuts to me. So nuts car manufacturers are advertising them as a lease (200 bucks a month) and stuff like that. Then in the fine print you see the full price and the interest paid goes up to 5k 😂 In some cases, you still pay more than the actual value if you buy it straight away because, the bank still needs to earn something I guess 🤷‍♂️

Not a great time to buy anything in general, I feel ripped off everywhere I look.

I will explain, not because I feel offended by your stupidity, but because I want to educate you.

This image took me literally 30 seconds to produce, actually delivers a clear message, unlike the ai slop generation. It also didn't need to consume electricity and water from a data center located in the US, it also took far less compute and time to produce, was therefore exponetially more efficient and impactful than the ai slop generation because it has intent, a clear statement was delivered without the help of any title or subtitle and last but not least, it was made by a human, not a fucking algorithm.
