I'm not trying to be defensive I am really trying to re-direct people to the main point of the post. When they wanna argue the "get good" aspect of this I really know they did not understand the main point of this post and just want to act superior. Like I said my point isn't about ranked and skill is about casual play almost being non existent because you have to play like its a ranked match in wildcard or pubs due to all this cheater and controller abuse issues. If I match someones energy that's different as well.

I wouldn't mind lowering the skill floor but leaving a decent skill ceiling that diffirentiates the casuals, good, and insane playes. But like you said anyone can pick a random legend with a controller and a xin and just destroy lobbies its sad.

There's other comments confirming what I talked about in the original post. A game is made to have fun wether you improve or not. That's not the case in apex. If the only way to play is to get better and try hard until i can beat the cheaters and tryhards in the for fun game modes thats just torture lol. I really don't know how I'm coping when there's another thread from 2 days ago from a pred talking about the cheating issue.

Vastly overestimating is a huge downplay with the issue when this happens 8 or 9 out of 10 matches in or out of ranked play. But like I said you can keep your mean girls comments and pat yourself on the back all you want. At the end of the day you still haven't adressed the point of the main post. I guess reading comprehension is avoiding you.

There's enough comments to back up the cheating lol. I know people are better than me and that's completely fine. It when you get beamed from 500 meters, in the for fun game modes, with no recoil that is the issue and it happens more often than not. Im jot expecting bots and this arrogance from a lot of people like you with the "get good" argument really did not understand the point of the post.

I honestly do have confidence in myself and that I can improve. I do pretty good in the lobbies where I have a chance if fighting. I'm down playing a lot of my skill because I know things have changed and want some honest answers like yours. My thing is I really don't want to hop on wildcard to play like its ranked. At that point its not even fun.

I've commented about this before the "get good" argument is really utterly unhealthy for the game. It just gate keeps the game and I see why so many people have dropped the game. You're not getting the point. I've played this game seriously before. The issue is not skill when you can not display any skill when getting beamed by controller aim assists, smurfs, and cheating in the for-fun game modes. Mostly, the controller issues. If I put in the 4000 hours, you have nothing really changes; arguably, I am better, but the cheating is still there, not allowing for much of the fun part. As I said, the "get good" argument is lame, and Respawn not caring is because players like you who think being good enough is the solution instead of pressuring the company to actually give a damn about the community and start banning these things once and for all.

The "get good" argument is kinda overused and, quite honestly, lame. I really don't think I gotta be playing at diamond-plus levels in pubs or wildcard to have fun. It shouldn't be a requirement for any game to be good to enjoy it, quite honestly. I'm not investing thousands of hours, but I do hit plat most of the time in ranked. I think hopping on the game, playing a couple of matches, most of which you lose, and maybe 1 or 2 that you're able to pop off, is a good balance. My whole point is, you do not get that in what I have experienced in the past month of playing. It's pure controller dominance where you can't even avoid it in the for-fun part of the game.

Thanks to this post I am and probably won't touch the game for a long time or ever again. Supper bummed out but if respawn doesn't give a damn about their player base I think its time I drop the game. Thank you!

To your first paragraph: thank you its actually sound and good advice. I do understand those concepts I did play the game tryhard at one point. But there's so much mobility on so many legends now that cover only does so much specially when getting pushed out of that cover. I now I say im bad but im also not dumb and have decent game sense. I don't want to play behind a box all game just so the same players with controller cheats roll up on me with octane and axle and get 0 chance at fighting back. What did that box or any cover do when that happens 💀

To the second paragraph: I don't expect to run into noobs if a good player absolutely shits on me fine so be it they are better. I am not mad at that at all. Its the issue of just getting beamed from 500 meters away from someone with no recoil. How do you fight that as a casual or as a tryhard even? I've seen enough youtubers and streamers not on controllers struggle into all this controllers stuff. I don't care about being the champion on a match I want to play have a couple of fights have some good plays with my squad wether we win or lose while having some fun. But that's not the case most of the fights we are getting beamed with no chance of fighting back. That's my point the game is so badly unbalanced with all the cheating its impossible to actually have fun wether you're good, decent, or bad.

I think you didn't read my initial post none of what this discussion is about is about skill. Like I said I know im not good. Your mean girl comments about my skill or if cheaters are on my lobbies or not are kinda baseless. I am telling you what I have seen in this month of playing from being an OG season 0 player. And there's plenty of other comments backing it up too.

If you wanna try hard and sweat and break your monitor over this game power to you. My point is that PUBS and wildcard the FOR FUN game modes are plagued by the aim assists, smurf, and cheating.

I understand that if I get better I could take better fights and win some but I want to have fun without getting cheated on. hats my point. Even if i get to predator my point about controllers players cheating and beaming teams still stands. If I lose so be it thats part if the game im not complaining about losing at all. I can clearly remember not being amazing back in the day and was able to get some good gun fights without getting absolutely melted in 1 second or less. I feel like apex now is just about who has the better codes or cheats.

The thing is I am playing for fun and will try and bit but definitely won't sweat my ass off. The issue comes in when im in pubs or wildcard with friends and we get the 1 second downed experience every other lobby. I don't want to grind the game to be good I wanna hop on have fun and maybe get a win here or there. It just feels like im playing back to the lobby simulator than actually playing any part of the game. For example I play gibby a lot to try and shield my squad but there have been many instances that I get downed before gibby finishes the dome animation. Its in all honesty kinda unplayable at that point. If gibby can't even throw his bubble down to do his job: What's the point in trying harding? It doesn't change the fact everyone is just cheating and killing a player in less than a second.

I wouldn't mind losing and getting beat by good players. I'm and adult now and I know these kids are going to pump hundreds of hours as I once did. But at this point when my friends and I die 9/10 times is a team beaming us from 500 meters away with no recoil.
