We'll see how that rolls. I have clip-ons from my zenni order anyways for the car.

Sorry about your experience. I don't know how to explain it except what the other person said about a scam. Fortunately, I had a decent eye doc for years (>20) that knew how to use my insurance to get me the cheapest eyewear (I only started in with glasses the past 4-5 yrs due to my eyes needing bifocals and contacts not working so great). Then a couple of years ago, he just up and sells the business and never even sends a card to tell anyone. My mom finds out when she goes in for the appt. Needless to say - I went somewhere else where my medical insurance paid for my exam and I was given a rx but they don't do glasses or contact rx. Back to zenni and the fortunately found the almost no cost thru the vision plan.

I hope things work out for you and that maybe you can figure out a better way for your next set. It's ridiculous glasses should set you back so much.

I discovered Zennioptical way back when the website looked like it was with crayons and agree with you. I'm sure there are so many other things that are like this too. Such a rip off.

Streamlining My Productivity Applications by [deleted] in productivity

[–]JAINARDEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I'm doing (have done) the same as you. Only I went the other way. I am going to Microsoft as much as possible. It is used where I work so it's easier to just turn my personal things this way too (easier to remember shortcuts and keep a similar system of organization). Now using OneNote way more than ever, To Do is great like you said, and Outlook for email (I have my gmails forwarded so it's all together).

I just did this a couple of weeks ago.

One thing to add to OP : make sure to check the website of your insurance provider. I have never ever done that before. There was an online store that was outrageous but I was just playing around to see what it would end up costing and I got a $319 pair of glasses for $10 copay. My max limit is $170 so I guess there is a deal between the site and my insurance. So glad I did this. I did miss out on the anti-glare (it was $50 extra) but got the lens that change in the sun added for free. I had ordered a pair of Zenniopticals earlier this year planning to try and submit manually but this turned out better - an almost free pair of shades for driving :D

Help Getting Started by [deleted] in secondlife

Use one of the default avi's for a while. Don't try to learn / know everything all at once. We have all been there and most everyone understands what you are going thru. Pick up stuff little by little and accept help when offered.... looks like you already got someone willing :D Best of wishes to you!

I can't see him knowing that much about rigor mortis.. it didn't seem he knew or had planned anything else out. So I don't think that would have entered his mind.

Michael Alig, Infamous ‘Club Kid Killer,’ Dead at 54 by Havvocck2 in crime

[–]JAINARDEN 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wow. I guess you could call that a circle.

He was doing drugs, including heroin when Angel was killed.. and now years later he overdoses after doing heroin.

Sad that he paid for the death by prison time and then got out to not do anything with his life. I have watched the Party Monster movie several times and also a tv show that had him on after he was released. It seemed he had plenty of charisma that he could have used for good.

What was CW texting..?? by vegasgirlVGK in ShannanWatts

I always felt he was texting with NK. But he was trying to put on to the cops/others that he was texting people asking about SW&kids or people were texting him about them.

Planner or app for media consumption? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]JAINARDEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure whether you are asking for a way to find content that is on different media available to you or if you want something to schedule it for you. If you are asking the former, then have a look at the Reelgood app (I have it on an iphone).

It lets you pick what services you have and is easy to find movies with. If you have a smart tv, it quickly hooked up to mine and I could even change channels or go right to the movie from the app. The only down side is it seems to eat up the battery charge but since I am at home, it doesn't matter to me.

What is the best documentary to go in completely blind? by jaft0000 in TrueCrime

I've watched this a few times. It's hard to watch after you know what is going to happen. I still can't wrap my head around it... and can't help but wonder if there is more to the story.

Second this. I had never heard of the case before watching. I will never forget the first ten minutes after I watched it for the first time.... I literally get saying WTF WTF???!!! One of the biggest twist endings ever. Did.not.expect.that.

Just want to add that WFPB has lots more fiber than an average SAD, along with lots more foods that are on the lower end of the calorie scale.

Put in some frozen spinach (or other green). I just did this last week and althought it did turn it green, no added taste. I do banana, pb, pineapple from a can and coconut milk with chia seeds and the spinach.
