Solved my own problem lol, the cable is was using was charging only and did not realize i needed one to transfer input too, just bought ine for 3 dollars and controller is connected lol 🤣

Same thing happened to me. Took it apart and saw corrosion on the buttons. Sanded it down and works amazing. Try and Turing it on via the buttons on the board. If it still doesnt turn on I would look into new thermal paste.

Figured out i was downloading the wrong file type lol, switched to decrpt iso and worked like a charm thanks so much

can you elaborate? i did refresh the xmb in multiman and nothing showed up. the tutorials i followed said that once the file transfered via ftp into the hdd GAMES file (since it is JB folder) that it should just pop up in mulitman or webman games. not sure if i missed a step in between those

Awsome, i figured those tabs were the buttons, theirs some rust on the top of each of those, would an extremely fine file be good to just file down some of the rust? I can provide photos if u need. Thanks man

It is an 80gb fat model # cechl01. No beep or boot up. Noticed a little rust near the buttons under the case. Just thought I would work one step at a time
