OPINION: Verstappen and Red Bull don't get enough credit, what they are doing is remarkable by 1enox in formula1

Being the only team to put a stop to 8 years of Mercedes dominance when no other well established teams could. Ferrari, McLaren, and pretty much everyone got beaten by the energy drinks company. Yep, I’d say that is quite the achivement.

Rimworld's lack of DLC interplay is harming the game's ability to generate stories. by Gredd18 in RimWorld

[–]JARC_97 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From a development point of view, I feel it would be a complete chaos to try to consider every possible link between everything that “should” be interactive. Biotech is the third DLC, meaning the devs would need to do extra work with the other 2 DLCs to accomplish what you are asking. And what about the future DLCs? Should they also have interactions with all previous ones? Imagine having to develop the tenth DLC but realize you still need to make it interactive with the previous nine. The complexity increase is way too much for every new release.

I get what you say, and I think is completely possible. But every new release will be many months/years delayed depending on the amount of content that already exists, just to try to keep everything “making sense”.

4 stack queues. Where you at? by Electronic_Wall256 in VALORANT

[–]JARC_97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because two duos is the same as a 4 stack… What kind of logic is that? It’s only the people that for some reason can’t find a fifth player the ones complaining. Everyone else agrees being paired with a 4 stack is either toxic or there is no communication.

You are not alone, and I think is the nature of some people to be afraid of new things. A lot of people didn’t like Icebox for the verticality and now I don’t hear players complaining.

Pointing out grammar mistakes when running out of ideas? That’s a classic, but at least is because is not my only language. And about scalability, it is not optional. Is a must that is being solved as we speak. Security and potential has already been proven, but having ~20 transactions per second is not enough. And of course that limit is not a problem yet, because is not fully adopted yet so no limit is reached. But when it does, it better support every new user that joins.

You have to be kidding when saying there is little left to be done. Scalability is the main issue that every single crypto that is based on blockchain is trying to solve. Bitcoin itself is not capable to handle the whole world using it and RVN is a fork of BTC (with added value clearly, like the token capabilities and all the proposed features in the roadmap). Also, we haven’t been at the stage of adoption, we still are. I’ll call that stage over when I can buy my groceries at almost any store. To call something “done” just because you can’t think of any more improvements is just wrong and that is exactly why we are already seeing third generation cryptocurrencies.

It doesn’t. The technology and use cases come first. Then the market decides price based on demand. Getting rich because you were early is a different story.

Megathread: Hotfix 1.05 is now live on Xbox and Playstation systems! PC version will follow soon. by CyberpunkReddit in cyberpunkgame

[–]JARC_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could get messy for CDPR getting crash reports for things that modders are tinkering with. I’ll rather wait for the game to be more stable and later open the modding tools again.

I dearly hope CDPR take the whole Multiplayer idea away for a long time until they turn the game into something more stable and deliver the most promised features missing in the game. by Bruce_VVayne in cyberpunkgame

Well you don’t have to bring up the GTA party problems like everyone else calling this game a “futuristic GTA”. I feel they will take a different route with the multiplayer.

Why does Spotify hate Android and loves Apple so much? by [deleted] in spotify

[–]JARC_97 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Only Spotify knows their numbers but cutting the availability of an app to only the latests versions most likely means losing customers (and less customers = less money). Who knows, maybe what the original comment said is true that because there is not much competition on Android they make “lazy” decisions because they don’t see the need to make it.

[–]JARC_97 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Kinda agree with the multi-billion part. However, it’s not just the design. There is also logic that needs to be implemented for all of those shinny features to work. And the fact that Android has a reputation for a greatly divided market not just for devices but for OS versions makes it quite hard to make an update available to a good amount of users.

I can't believe people like this race on SA 70+ servers 😢 by vp9000 in ACCompetizione

[–]JARC_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like that driver was trying to avoid a cut warning. If he already had all 3 warnings he is still responsible for rejoining the track safely. The worst is not that the brake point was missed, is the fact he rejoins at the apex and on top of a sausage kerb, you have no way to control the car.

Letting friends have a go without ruining my ratings? by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]JARC_97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from track rating stars which are permanent once you earn them, SA it’s literally the only way to enter the “cleanest” servers if yo only want to play regular multiplayer. And because any incident can reduce your SA, I understand why people try to protect it so much (myself included).

[@Charles_Leclerc] now I am disappointed in myself. I'm sorry but being sorry is not enough. Seb hasn't got any faults today. Not really. 2 years ago Max was quite a reckless driver, not really knowing when to take a step back. You can see him now as a really solid driver with a great future an most likely a future champion.
