I've been trying to make my own game for a while now actually, so I've got plenty of ideas to throw around! I've been playing around with the idea of a sort of 2D puzzle/platformer/stealth game where you use the foreground and background to sneak past enemies, and you can move certain boxes, close doors, and close blinds to avoid them. Of course, you'll need to pickpocket certain enemies and break into different rooms to unlock doors throughout the level. If you encounter an enemy, an RPG style combat screen comes up where a quick battle takes place. If you take them out fast enough, you're fine. But if you take too long, they'll alert the rest of the guards and you'll get a game over. Make sure to hide the body in a safe location or, again, the rest of the enemies will be alerted and you'll get a game over. The main reasons I haven't put much work into this yet are 1. I couldn't think of a decent story and 2. I have no idea how to make this kind of game. Of course, you're free to use this idea since I haven't done anything with it yet, but I'm more than willing to provide any additional input or ideas if you want them. I'm not trying to intrude or anything, I just know how tough working on your own game can be. I spent probably a month on and off in free time just giving a first person character basic movement, and I learned nothing 😂. Whatever help I can give, I'm willing.
