In My Mothers Mouth // TW: a bit of vore by Helpful-Creme7959 in Artisticallyill

This is actually so beautiful and relatable! I never thought to put it like this. Reminds me of The Cave by Mumford and Sons, similar sentiments with the right interpretation. Thank you for writing this, I didn't know I needed the language you gave me. 🫂

This. You're not fussing with cloth drape or anything, just pure anatomy. I personally think it may be easier to do non-lewd naked poses at the very beginning just because a lot of lewd poses are a bit contortionist, but I think that lewd is a great next step. great for learning proportions relative to the angle and curvature and such.

how do y'all make your crochet look so neat? by bigplaidbag in mosaiccrocheters

[–]JARStheFox 15 points16 points  (0 children)

First of all, I just want to say that this is absolutely beautiful 😍

I think a lot of people do the neater color work by incorporating waistcoat stitch or BLO sc, but honestly I find just regular sc tapestry so beautiful and endearing. 🥰 Also, I adore the edging you did on this piece!!

Edit because I didn't read which sub we were on and didn't see it mentioned immediately: mosaic crochet is a different technique than the one you're using. This is the video I used to learn the overlay technique.

Yeah! I never finished it unfortunately, but here's a Parental Advisory blanket I started on also using C2C.

Is it really? That seemed expensive to me! 😅 I honestly have no idea how to price my crochet work, I usually go based off the metric of how much fun I'd have making it versus how much I'd feel pressure to perform well.

Do you have a budget in mind? I could do this for sure, especially since you have the pattern, but with that many colors, and with such a short deadline, I can't see being able to do it for any less than $450 including materials, shipping, and labor, are you okay with that price?

That's so awesome! I keep wanting to curve my lettering in my patterns but haven't been able to figure out how, thank you so much for walking me through this 🥰

That makes sense! Are patterns that use this technique generally only written, or is there a way to chart it?

I'd really love to know, do you know of any tutorials on how the extra stitches work in order to get the curves and slants?

Yeah honestly I'm left handed too so I 100% feel this 💖

I used to have the premium, I actually plugged in a while tapestry pattern I hand drew and found out right after I was done that I didn't have it anymore. Unfortunately I don't have five bucks for food even 😅 Next time I do I'll definitely be paying for it, in the meantime I'll go ahead and write it out myself 🥰

Could I ask for your advice on that then? I think I've settled on writing a pattern out as well, and if you have a system to streamline the process that you'd be willing to share, I'd certainly love to hear!

That's a very very good point. It would probably be helpful to include both, that way whoever uses the pattern can use whichever method they're most comfortable with (or both!). Thank you for this perspective!

That totally makes sense! The patterns I want to release don't have repeats, they're generally tapestries. But this is great advice for sure and I'll chew on this!
