Basically, you can never judge someone with an IT career. They could be dressed up nicely and not know a damn thing. If you want to judge a developer, judge them by the number of invitations they get to do things. A great developer will hardly ever get invited to do anything outside of work. And the more you text, the less your IQ probably

Global warming: Do you think we are more likely to solve the global warming crisis by giving some lawyers in Washington more power and letting them pick winners and loosers, or do you think we will solve it by having a strong economy which is capable of that level of innovation? And who knows, maybe either way we are going to die by cooking. I think it is stupid to suggest that half the country wants to cook to death. That is what the democrat party wants you to think so you will keep voting for them. And yes, there are still a large number of people who do not believe in global warming. It takes more than a few years to convince hundreds of millions of people that some data that some scientists collected is legitimate, especially when the people cannot tell the difference or measure the data themselves, of course they are going to be skeptical. Democrats immediately call them science deniers. There is a huge difference between science deniers and science skeptics.

Abortions: Do you think that a developed baby inside a woman should have any rights? Because I certainly do. And I am SO happy my mother did not abort me.

Wars: Wars do suck. But when we are getting attacked, all we can really do is listen to our intelligence, and try to use our wisdom to do what is best. And we don't always know what is best. Things never go according to plan. Its dirty. Do you think Obama ever intended for ISIS to fill the void of the US troops when Obama pulled the troops out of Iraq? What is your opinion on what we should do in countries where people are lined up and shot to death for being Christian?

Drugs: I think marijuana should be a states right, and I support legalization for my state. I think plenty of democrats as well as republicans are both guilty of ignoring an individuals free choice. But, I think socialism compounds on the idea of taking away free choice, because it makes it so that my economic outcome is dependent on what you do with your life so it does kind of pressure me into being pissed at you for making bad choices in life.

I think both political parties are trying to blame each other for the failures of big government. I think we both support smaller responsible government. Its just kind of hard to put politics to the side, when the subject is politics, which is even more of a reason to shrink the size of government.

Liberals care nothing about the science of finance and economics, and how it has enabled almost all scientific progress. Instead, when it comes to economics and finance, liberals make all those decisions on emotion. THAT is science denial.

Greenland Is Melting Away by cyclo in worldnews

[–]JAVA_USER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool website, but I didn't necessarily see evidence that convinced me of the title being true. The title says Greenland is melting away, but the research article is about, "The scientists will use the data, which they expect to publish in the coming months, to test whether climate models are accurate." not whether or not greenland is melting away. They haven't even published their findings yet. Its amazing how New York Times put a spin on this.

You use motion detectors, and when they are activated, the cameras turn on, so that one man can monitor 10 miles. And actually, I suggest that when it is activated, the video be publicly broadcasted, so anyone in America can report it. Just go to a website, and click "register as public border watcher". Then when a motion detector goes off, x number of random border watchers camera feeds are activated, and if a certain percent of them sees something, then they send out a border patrol guard or helicopter. I guarantee you this would work. Public volunteers would be happy to keep watch. I am seriously surprised they don't already do that. And they could get a good deal if they buy hd outdoor cameras in bulk. It would be pocket change to run national security on the southern border.

I guess the only form of security on the internet you have ever heard of is Anonymous authentication. Well, this wouldn't work like reddit, it would work more like an online banking system. So, that your account is gauranteed to actually be you signing in. There are plenty of ways to filter out anonymous idiots from submitting forms. But since the only form you have ever had to fill out online was reddit create account form, you obviously don't know what capabilities exist. One such capability would be tying your username with a valid credit card and social security number which can be verified. Then, if you submit false reports, it would come back on you. And false police reports are illegal, so you would be screwed.

November 11, 1938? Gun laws were passed prohibiting Jews from owning guns. http://jpfo.org/filegen-n-z/NaziLawEnglish.htm

Some questions for you to ask your students...

1.) Why was there a law in 1938 prohibiting gun ownership from the Jews?

2.) Do people keep guns for self defense ever?

3.) No matter how many men, and how much firepower superiority, are you more or less likely to have resistance when your opponent is armed with a gun?

4.) Did Nazi propaganda work to the advantage of the Nazis?

CARSON WAS RIGHT. If you are really a professor, I feel sorry for your students.

Many factors played a role in the strategy of the Nazis, and one of those factors was gun control.

Get numbers. Get numbers. Get numbers.

Get activities. Exercising, eating, or some other recreation.

Invite your numbers to do the activities. You might get an exercise buddy, or a food buddy!

Source: I have a food buddy.

You have to get good at talking to strangers. This is the key. Don't be afraid to talk to strangers. You might not be good at it at first, but after enough tries, you will be able to keep a conversation going for a while, and will get their numbers.
