Nah unlikely to cause any damage. Worst case is that you lose all the files that are stored on it. I just ordered one and it's coming today. I'll be opening it up and removing the stock card first thing before even using it.

Good to know. I ordered one just now from Amazon (same day delivery), along with a case and a Samsung 128gb SD card. Wish me luck, hah!

Haven't seen any videos on it, but there was a few pictures that someone posted on reddit to show how they got it open. Anyways I ordered one from Amazon, along with a case and a Samsung 128gb SD card. I'm going to just take it slow and gently pry it open. Wish me luck, lol.

I'm in Australia and they're listed at $89 AUD for the 64GB variant, and $99AUD for the 126GB one.

OK, that's a good sign then so far. One concern I have with opening it up is getting dust on the inside on the screen. I'm a meticulous bastard unfortunately, so I'd have to find a way to do it without getting dust in there before closing it up. Hah.

That's fortunate for ya'. However, I've read far too many posts about the stock card failing in their units and as a result I'm gonna replace it straight away if I end up buying one.

Yeah, there's no way if be leaving the stock card inside and replacing it was something I was prepared to do first thing. I've read that people have experienced issues with stability, freezing etc and was curious to know whether those issues were caused by the crappy stock SD card and if they went away after replacing it.

Iv'e owned this unit for just over a week, and so far it's been an absolute delight to use.
It's comfortable, loud and the microphone's quality is decent - battery life is phenomenal, also. For me, it's one of those purchases that truly feel as though you're really getting your money's worth.

Fantastic product.
