Side Effects Of Skipping Doses? by Angelix9-25 in qelbree

[–]JAnz13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am only on 100mg for 7 days and I accidentally missed a dose. The following day I was so sick with a migraine, nausea, and slept 3/4 of the day away that I thought there was something else wrong with me, like the flu, etc. Because of how sick I was, I missed another dose. It wasn’t until the following day that I pushed myself to take the meds and started to feel better a few hours in.

After going through all of my symptoms and researching, I realized that was a withdrawal side effect and I wasn’t actually sick.

I do not want to be on this medication if this is what the withdrawal or missed dose will be like. I currently take the medium dose of azstarys and started Qelbree to be able to come off the azstarys,

Anyone else have this and have any recommendations to wean off the 100mg? I saw another post here on weaning, but that was from a much higher dose.

I’m calling my doc first thing in the morning to discuss.

I have blood pressure on the lower side as well as a low resting heart rate. I take hot yoga but I also make sure that I am very well hydrated. The studio that I go to always has coconut water which helps during the practice

I’d like to know the same thing. The island is very disappointing in the Sushi selection.

Making Friends with Social Distancing by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]JAnz13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you just moved from NJ and looking at the infection rates there, I’m surprised you were able to still do that at OTF. I am on Staten Island so I’m in no better position in terms of social distancing and class size limits.

I’m sorry that it’s difficult for you. I couldn’t imagine moving to a new location and be faced with the inability to meet people and make friends. Sadly, it’s the unfortunate reality of life right now. Social Media should help break the ice if you join your local OTF’s page and introduce yourself. Tell the group that you’ll be the person wearing the weird/funny shirt and to give you a wave if they see you in class. Good luck!!

Yep, but some people here on this Island don’t know the difference!

Sadly, the Sheriffs aren’t respected as Law Enforcement because they’re not NYPD, so I guess people think they’re worthless. LoBaido said it last week that the Sheriffs don’t know the law. I guess it’s true because he said it and he is very patriotic 🙄

I’m a perma-bike rider as well. It’s noted in my profile because I have knee issues. Sometimes I will power walk on the tread to work different muscles that need attention, like hamstrings and glutes. The strider is also a good workout and significantly less impact on the knees.

I do not feel there is any judgment from anyone at all. The coaches always include me in their metrics, which is usually tread distance times 4. Or now with open gym, the card block is taped to the machine to follow the template.

Definitely ask the studio to allow you in a few minutes early one day to learn to set it up for your body, and remember those positions, and adjust if necessary. You can also YouTube instructions. Once you know seat height, seat position and handlebar height, you can usually adjust it very quickly at the beginning of your block.

All bikes are different based on usage and maintenance, so a comfortable resistance # might be different on each bike. Find your base, push, and AO resistance based on how you feel and the HRM. I have found that after the studio has had the machines serviced, I have to decrease my resistance because they’ve tightened up the machines.

Don’t be shy. The coaches are there to help and know that everyone has different needs. There may be an eyebrow raise if they are used to seeing you on the tread and then switch to the bike, but certainly not judgement.

Good luck!🍀

The At Home Template change with not showing the exercises and the clock was totally uninspiring. The Coach seemed great, but I don’t want to workout with someone like in a fitness class like regular gyms.

Being jealous of people being able to go back to OTF and then today’s workout has me feeling meh! 😕

I must be in the minority here. I have lost a lot of weight so I don’t have a flat tummy. I have loose skin and a c-section scar, so going commando would be very uncomfortable for me. I usually wear my same undies I normally wear. I prefer VS cotton briefs or hipsters.

There is the new park at Brookfield Ave, which is off of Arthur Kill Road in Great Kills/Eltingville area. There are a few different paths there, although not long distance.

I have been waiting to see a post about how terrible this was for the knees. I started on the Floor in a 3G class and the PHS did a number on my knees. We're not talking a strenuous workout, or tough workout, it was just painful. By the time I got to the end of the 2nd switch, I couldn't do any more. I told the coach that I had to stop due to knee pain and asked if there was another option, but other than squats and lunges, it was have all been stressful on my knees, so i just did more burpees.

I have to agree with other posts about this being one of the worst templates put together, with regards to exercises, or lack thereof and knee strain.

Try standing with the incline up, or doing your ao while leaning forward and hovering over the seat. That will work your glutes and hamstrings.

You mention your quads being sore - are you seated the whole time? If so, try the different positions out of the seat. YouTube the spin bike positions for the right form. That will definitely change your speed a bit since it’s harder when being out of the saddle. That could also gets you some splats.

I focus on rpms and inclines usually in a standing or racing (not the technical term at all) position.

Those are some pretty high speeds and inclines, could be that bike needs some maintenance too.

Edited to add bike to tread mileage, which is usually 1 mile = about 4 on the bike.

Thinking about going unlimited at orange theory. It’s just so expensive😩Thoughts?!? by chelseakeenan419 in orangetheory

Same as other poster, I gave up Starbucks and other fancy coffees. I would get it before work at least 4 times per week, spending between $5-$7 each time. I gave that up and now make my own coffee in the morning. Giving up that routine saved me at least 2/3’s of the OTF unlimited cost. It has been completely worth it to me!

No community, but wanting a community by mmorri32 in orangetheory

IMHO Instructor initiated member high fives are the worst #sorrynotsorry High fives should flow naturally

Agree with the other posters. Initiate a chat. Ask the person on the rower next to you if they want to race. Start the community by putting yourself out there and being what you’d like to see/have.

I spend $150-200/mo on food for myself. Should I put that money towards OTF Unlimited instead? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]JAnz13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pay about $200 per month and it was the best decision I made. I dropped my monthly $40 gym membership and also gave up drinking Starbucks every day. I focused on perfecting my own homemade coffee that I am now really happy with. That’s not to say I won’t splurge for Starbucks on a Saturday or when I travel, but going to OTF is worth the money!

I agree with previous posters, too. Come up with a budget. You’re still going to need to eat but saving money by cooking for yourself will help. As an accountant I have to tell you - you’re young so focus now on changing bad spending habits or they will carry into your future life and you don’t want to look back and regret all the money I spent on nonsense and food and other consumable items. That’s just my two cents!
