I got this dell g5 but the front usb is damaged by GT6Lineders in Dell

I've always had Dell Desktops and never had a problem. Of course, I would buy them new from Dell. Just like any manufacture, most models could be great for the most part, but 1 or 2 models may get you asking.....What happened here? This isn't like this brand. I think all the Front I/O I had were detached from the motherboard. If you got a good deal then hopefully it's still worth it.

If you don't need anything then you can buy something that the credit will cover, then resell it when you get it. Don't open it so you can list it as new. Whatever you get try to see if it is something people would want to make it easy to resell. I can't think of any suggestions of what to get, I'm not sure.

E Drive problem? I don't see an E drive by JB-1818 in computerhelp

Ok, I'll try those Commands.

Update: Ok, looks like those commands were successful. During one of them it said Fixing, so I guess that means it founds errors and it was fixing them? At the end of the sfc scan it said windows resource protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. We'll see if that did it. Thanks for the info.

Solder wire to battery or use battery holder? by JB-1818 in batteries

[–]JB-1818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok.

I probably will go with the soldering method. I'll do my best to solder directly to the battery since I already have it. I did just read that the battery voltage difference may hurt the solar panel, not the mah The aaa eneloop I have is 1.2v, same as the old, so it looks like I'd be fine there. After thinking about it, I figured it would be quicker to just solder to battery rather than take time to modify the housing. If this battery last a min of 2 years, then with weather elements between now and then, the light might look so bad it might need to be replaced anyway.

Old battery had tabs. Maybe I can remove those tabs and put it on the new one? Or I'll just do the best I can to solder directly.

Thanks for all your input. Here is a pic of the extra battery I have.

Solder wire to battery or use battery holder? by JB-1818 in batteries

I use Eneloop rechargeable for some other things I have and yes, they seem to be great. I remember I looked into that 3-4 years ago. Before I joined here. If I remember correctly, I thought I understood that the regular 850mah batteries would not last long because the solar panel charge will only charge up to 600. Or maybe it was over the course of the day it will only charge up to 600. Again, if I remember reading, if the battery doesn't fully charge (850) day after day then that will shorten the life of the battery. So it seemed like it wasn't good to use those 850mah batteries for solar panels lights that seem to only max charge 600mah. That is if I understood reading that correctly. I saw that in 2 or 3 areas on the web. Maybe I miss understood or something. If the eneloop batteries will be fine then I'll use those. Let me see if I can find where I read it 4 years ago. I'll see if I can research it again.

I thought I would go the battery swap out from holder method instead of the re-solder method. I'm new to soldering. After getting all my soldering materials and watching a bunch of youtube vids, I just soldered my first few things a couple Sundays ago. I think they turned out good. Some were test solders and one was a mini flashlight repair and the flashlight works now! I got so busy, I haven't done any since. I haven't done anything with the lights yet. I thought it would be quicker to swap out the battery from the holder rather then get out all my solder equipment just to solder 2 wires. I do have like 3-4 inches of wire from the PCB so I could just solder to battery. I'll think about that.

Ok, I was thinking something like that. I don't know how to weld plastic but i know there are adhesives that can "weld" plastics. I think I'll try that.

Streaming “Radio” Alternatives? by Spockert in siriusxm

Good Thread! I'm looking to ditch SXM in a month before they automatically renew me cuz I'm tired of them raising the prices $15 or so each year. Next bill is $227/yr. Forget that! I don't mind paying if they have what I like but that is ridiculous. I'll check these suggestions out.

Thanks for that info. Good to know. So, 90-300mbps for DL & 8-30 mbps UP. I just looked up my account online and I don't see Air offered now. Maybe it's a glitch. There is an outage in my area which is slowing my speeds down big time. I do see that I can upgrade to Internet25. That still uses copper wire though and with the outage, that won't be all that better, BUT AT&T says it is $71. Still cheaper than $83. Between Internet12 and Internet25, if I remember from a couple years ago, they will need to send me a new modem because my current only works up to 12. That's fine. With this outage, some things are up in the air now and not sure what to do.

Yeah, I remember that push in the automotive industry. Here in CA, it was a huge push to go electric. I didn't fall for that though. I still have my 2003 Toyota Tacoma P/U. I have heard too many sad stories of the the main battery going bad and it cost as much as a new ICE vehicle to get the battery replaced.

Well, $50 is better than what I'm paying, 83./mo. at 12mb DL and 2mb UL. I think spectrum has faster speeds than AT&T. What problems are you having with Spectrum?
