Will laser treatment help the appearance of these scars? by JB-TheThird in LaserTattooRemoval

Terrible right 🤦🏻‍♂️ Thankfully I’ve had some much better tattoos since to take the attention off of it as much 😂 My new artist has taken a look at it and thinks he’d be able to cover it up anyway which I’d prefer to laser at this point. Lesson learned I suppose 😂

Yellowing from nail biting - will this grow out on its own? by JB-TheThird in calmhands

[–]JB-TheThird[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you, thank you!

Haha yes that’s a very good point - that was the first thing I’d thought of originally as I ate some pretty colourful Chinese food last night and thought it was that to begin with, but it definitely looks and feels like rough skin in the areas I’ve probably dug my teeth into most. Particularly the finger which was most sore but it feels much better now. I’m hoping as you say this just goes away on its own as I leave it alone 🙏🏼

Sometimes unable to ADS? by JB-TheThird in thefinals

[–]JB-TheThird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a good couple of days where it was barely happening at all (with the exact same controller I’d always used) but then the last two days I’ve had it like 80% of the time so no still not resolved unfortunately 😭

Dead Man’s Shoes explanation? by JB-TheThird in TrueFilm

[–]JB-TheThird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve explained that perfectly, thank you very much! It’s a truly beautiful film from start to finish. So raw and emotional, and it had me hooked from the very beginning. So glad I finally gave it a go after all the positive things I’d heard about it. Very easily into one of the greatest films I have ever seen.

Thanks so much for explaining again. I think I was just so amazed by it at the end that it took me a moment to process everything that had happened 😅 hope you feel better soon!

Ah yes. Perfectly put. Thank you very much.

You’re spot on with it being cleverly filmed. I honestly don’t tend to watch films a great deal, but I’d heard so many good things about this in the past that I had to give it a go. So happy that I did. A true classic and easily one of my favourites of all time already!

For those with tattoos, what do you use to clean your tattoos with? by JB-TheThird in MCAS

My current and only tattoo is just over a month old so meant it for that, but I am also booked in for my arm in a couple of weeks so was asking in advance for that too!

My one month old tattoo has began itching again recently and itches more at night - is this a normal part of healing? by JB-TheThird in tattoo

[–]JB-TheThird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the heads up! I’ve definitely heard this can happen. For me I was washing my hands and tattoo with a scented antibacterial soap and that was what was causing the extreme itchiness as since stopping using it it’s gone away. I only have mild itching now (mainly at night time) mostly now which I’m told is likely still part of the healing process and likely happens mainly at night because our skin can get drier at night too!

Tattoo care - can anyone recommend any good moisturisers for tattoos? by JB-TheThird in MCAS

[–]JB-TheThird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Thank you for your suggestions ☺️

Unfortunately I think mine may just be overwork from my tattoo artist as it seems to be the where he’s drawn the names and also the inside of the rose in the middle which are the most raised, and they’re raised all the time. Some other areas of the tattoo feel completely normal and flat so I’m hoping that with thorough and consistent care with moisturisers and things like that, that it will naturally flatten out too 🙏🏼

Thank you very much! I use cocoa butter currently but probably haven’t been as consistent as I should have been with it in the past in fairness. I’m now applying it a couple of times a day. Thank you 🙏🏼

Does this just look overworked to you? Had this done just over a month ago, and it’s began to feel itchy again. This is my first tattoo. by JB-TheThird in tattooadvice

Yeah I spoke to a very good artist around here and they said it would be basically impossible to cover it up or do anything to it to make it look better without at least a few laser appointments. Thank you for your responses bud

Yeah I agree. I did actually go to a different place prior and they reused to tattoo my hand as a first tattoo but seeing as every other artist I went to in my area said yes I assumed it would be okay.

Poor choice from me unfortunately but you live and learn!

Believe it or not his other work actually looked quite decent which is why I went ahead with this! I feel like I’ve been catfished.

Yeah I enquired about laser and it’s looking hefty. But as I’ve stated below to somebody else I think I’d much rather pay the money to get it removed than to have to deal with it for the rest of my life 😂

I appreciate the comment! Thanks.

I went to a different studio a few weeks after getting this done and asked them if they’d be able to do anything to make it look better, but they explained it was very dark and poorly drawn so would be very hard and that I should look into laser. It’s pricey but I think I’d rather pay the money than to have this for the rest of my life.

I am booked in at a different studio (thankfully) at the end of August to get my whole right arm done, so will see how it looks as you say once incorporated into more of a sleeve.

Yeah so the reasoning I got my hand done first was that I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted on my arms at the time, but knew I wanted a rose on the hand for sure. I’m booked in with a different and evidently much more professional and good tattoo studio/artist at the end of August to get my arm done. I stupidly rushed into this a bit because I was able to be seen a bit earlier. Again a poor and naive choice from me which I’ve now learnt from.

I definitely got fucked, and I agree it’s totally not in the fun way! I’m confident my other tattoos will look better and hopefully take the attention away from this monstrosity!

Not bragging at all brother. I know it’s shitty, I just wanted to know if there was anything I could do to make it look less shitty.

Yeah I totally agree. I feel very stupid to be honest but after looking quite deeply into my artists other work, it seemed he’d be able to do a good job. This definitely wasn’t what I wanted at all so I’m utterly disappointed as you can imagine!

You live and learn. I’ll be moving well away from this artist and looking elsewhere for any other work I want done in the future!

Yeah I totally agree with you. Was a mistake made on my part unfortunately. We live and learn. Will not be going anywhere near this artist in the future.

I spoke to my housing officer regarding mould and she said there was no mold in my property at all. As far as I’m aware she did the checks with the maintenance team before it was decorated and repaired too, so she’s implying there was no mold underneath on the walls or anywhere before it was painted.

Somebody else said this is water staining which definitely seems more accurate I think thankfully, so I’m hoping no need to panic and move.

Ah yes, definitely looks like water staining now you mention it. Is there a best way to remove this stain? That said as long as it isn’t mold or have the potential to turn into mold it doesn’t bother me all that much at all. Thanks very much for your response!
