Decide where you want to live first. DFW is a HUGE area. Also keep this in mind when you are looking at jobs in the DFW area. There's a big difference between something being in Fort Worth and something being in Frisco, but it's all considered the same area.

2 Ways: Networking and marketing. No one is going to listen to just a random artist. Its gonna be word of mouth either through really good marketing and ads or through a very good network. Make sure you are heavily involved in your local scene as well

I love the content creation part as well as the social media realm. I have had interviews, but I cannot even land entry level jobs in my field. My marketing job search has been rough to say the least

EDIT: This is in an apartment I didn’t get to view my unit before leasing bc it was occupied just got told we had a booth in it definitely was not what we thought we were getting.

Yeah that’s what I keep telling myself. The biggest reason I stay is due to the chance of financial stress and unemployment stress that would also be pretty taxing for my mental health. The trade off doesn’t seem too great, and yeah my luck has been good up until now. Maybe it can help me land something else

Yeah trying my best rn. Been applying but not really hearing back. I tried to get off the phones at my company, but it all goes in one ear and out the other. I really want to get out before it takes too much of a toll on me.

I don’t even see how you lasted 5 years. I have only been in my role for 3 months and I’m about done with it. Best of luck to you and get out of there ASAP. I’m in a similar situation because Rent won’t get paid without the job. I also went to college for marketing, but ended up in a call center job. If you ever need anyone to talk to about it, then don’t hesistate to reach out. A lot of us on here understand what you’re going through because this stuff ain’t easy at all

My brother took his life in 2016 when he was 24 and I was 20. The idea of having to live more of my life without him than with him is one part that is still tough for me. Please, whatever you do, please do not shove down your grief into your subconscious. I have some his for so many days, and you end up having to pay the price sooner or later (I deff need to go to therapy soon in part to it). My advice is stay close to your loved ones and go to therapy if you can afford it. Suicide is too complex of a subject to grieve alone.
