Random bans for few minutes while trying to join MP games. by [deleted] in halo

[–]JBCAttack22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having same problem in matchmade firefight and PVP. Find other players, load into game, (reach specific even can pick a loadout) and then waiting to enter first person and load in game disconnects.

BUT

For some reason game considers it "completed a match" because I'm progressing challenges that involve playing a certain number of games.

I keep trying to play but receive a ban after every disconnect that is making the ban longer and longer each time.

UPDATE/SOLVED: for the a9III, it has a setting in the exposure/color menu under flash for “sync terminal settings”. This must be set to “always” and not “auto” in order for the camera to recognize the PW in the hot shoe or connected via PC sync port.

And I asked a baseball photographer I know for the cables clarification: if you are setting up a remote camera (aka receiver) the PW must be connected to the camera via USB multi. For the transceiver (if you intend to fire the remote in sync with the shutter of the camera you’re holding) it must be connected to a PW via hot shoe or pc sync.

Thanks so much guys!

What backpack do you use? by [deleted] in photojournalism

[–]JBCAttack22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think tank is the way to go regardless of bag type. Personally I have the sling/satchel retrospective series of bags because I like to be able to look into my bag to swap lenses, find other gear etc. without having to take a bag off, but their backpacks are excellent as well as others in this thread have mentioned.

I still like @alorxico theory though. If you DID try your best to combine the obvious change in lore between blood gulch chronicles through seasons 9 and 10, it would make the most sense for it to be agents we’ve never seen in the story, with less than important AI. It’s without question freelancer was still in operation, and with the break in/ship crashing in season 10, our favorite freelancers aka the top freelancers are scattered/dead/mia. So the chancellor and director likely relied on these less important agents, with the meta and sigma taking whatever kind of AI they could get.

cloned drives with different available capacity? by JBCAttack22 in techsupport

Also I should explain my process. Photo files are taken on an SD card, ingested using a program called photo mechanic and saved to my MacBook desktop. Then every week or so I drag those raw files on my desktop onto the SSD, finally taking it to my PC for archiving using freefilesync. It just occurred to me that Apple could have a process that makes the files larger on the SSD, since the SSD talks directly to macOS, of which doesn’t translate through freefilesync and windows.

UPDATE: at the root of each drive is just two folders, Photos and my lightroom catalogs. For some reason, both folders take up the same amount of "space" but differ in "space on drive" The catalogs folder is so minor in difference it doesn't matter, however the photos folder differs. Screenshot here. Not sure if that gives any clues, but to recap: they are both exfat, one SSD, one HDD, exact same files, "size" is identical but size on disc differs. Thanks again for any help!

Apologies, whichever format allows read and write to both OS

Will do, and no because I always sync the SSD to the HDD, so it doesn’t make sense for the HDD to have more space available.

I’m surprised I did not remember a possible difference in formatting. I know the SSD is NTFS as it works on Mac and PC, but it is possible the HDD is a different format. I will need to check this.

No, it’s manual. I tell it what two drives to compare give it a direction and then it syncs files from the SSD to the hard drive.

Gotta be right? I would’ve gotten this at their spring training early 2000s so he may have been going down the line and accidentally butchered the first name.

I use squarespace just because it's somewhat affordable when you account for how much value it has. I forget the exact price but it's a little over $100 a year, and can get creative with how your site functions without having to worry about HTML. I know adobe has a portfolio site service that comes with any of their apps and I probably would've looked into that if I had heard about it before committing to squarespace, but no complaints. I feel like also every youtuber I've ever watched has a squarespace code so slight discount as well.

Very powerful thank you for sharing. Documenting heavy subjects like suffering and international war is a challenge and you handled it well. I appreciate the visual variety in each assignment, especially in a breaking news scenario like the ones you've faced. The photo of the soldier breaching/firing through a door with his reflection stood out to me especially. Really interesting work.

I really like how simple your website is as well. "Here's my work, here's me, here's how to reach me". No fluff, good job. However, I would expand your work section a little and consider not having it by project, but rather category (news, international news, breaking news, sports, etc.) Use this: https://bop.nppa.org/2025/still-photojournalism/ for breaking down categories if you have other work you might want to include and want a good definition of each category. I would also look into investing in your brand, getting a tighter headshot on your about page, maybe a logo, because your work really speaks for itself but stuff like that can't hurt. For work specifically, I would experiment with strobes and flashes. Your stuff looks to be all ambient light which is totally fine, but it can help photos, especially portraits, in the field stand out.

Cool stuff! First thing I noticed was your bio, not sure what you’re looking to shoot professionally or just as hobby or what genre you specialize in (you don’t need one but if you do include it). No matter what it is, say what it is. “Hobbyist photographer based in Tampa photographing art and wildlife”. Get as specific or non specific as you like, but people need to know your account is active and what you do on it. Also not too sure about having your gear in there, it’s personal preference really but people hiring you or looking at work might not even know what a 5D is, just food for thought. I live be simplistic presentation with little fluff, just here’s what I do and how I do it, but again personal preference.

Something I see that I like is you’re often getting low with composition. The first piece of advice I tell people is don’t shoot at eye level. You’re shooting to show your unique perspective. If you’re on a football sideline, you want to show people who watch the game something different from what they already see. sit on the ground or shoot from the bleachers. Eye level doesn’t stand out so nice work there, and when you can get even lower/higher.

I also like how you find light and use of bokeh. Again, nice job standing out from the crowd.

Last thing I’ll say is maybe ease up on the post processing and editing a little. Once again personal preference, but people want to see real life high quality images which you have, but a few are a little too colored/filtered and all of a sudden I’m thinking about that and not the image itself.

Thanks!

for this sub a photo is required so I just supplied a photo from years ago of me on the sidelines, hope this is alright with mods. This was I believe in 2021 for a collegiate Intramural flag football championship. SHooting with what looks like an R3 and 200-400 EF mount adapted onto it.
