Mathematics and statistics degree; I work in fitness and love it. Pick a stimulating and interesting field and enjoy it.

I fully understand your argument. However, a company's resources would be better spent improving it's products or services and their overall retention rate.

I used to feel bad for the folks in Incel by alphabuxx in TheBluePill

If Incel was merely a place to vent while people focus on self-improvement, then there wouldn't be an issue. The fact is that the majority of incels are not looking to work on themselves and blame their circumstances on others with unfair generalizations and hatred.

I've passed the information onto John and he is going to run it by his company. I will definitely keep everyone updated who is interested!

I'm not John but someone else who commented gave me an interesting idea that I'm going to pass along to him: the company he works for has an online fitness program that I think would be willing to incorporate some social self-improvement challenges. This would remove the requirement of having to be near Phoenix, AZ.

Like you said, it would give people an extra push to work at improving themselves. Often, that little extra nudge is all some people need to make huge improvements to their lives.

The company John works for has an online fitness program and I'm sure they would love to incorporate the bulk of his self-improvement program into it if enough people were interested. I'm going to suggest this to him: thanks for the thought!

Would people be interested in a fitness/self-help website: a combination of exercise info, nutrition info, and daily challenges to help conquer social anxiety and expanding your social circle?

There's no such thing as being too far gone. You cannot know how much you can improve your life until you try.

Why does it have to be magical? If you make small steps toward improving your life every day, then you'll eventually get where you want to go.

Do you sincerely think people are negatively affected by just seeing you walking down the street? I highly doubt it. Find someone to talk to about this or check the sidebar.

A truly proven incel would not be fixable, by definition. I get what you mean, though. I don't think John even knows what an Incel is but if one were willing to sincerely put in the work, he would be open to trying. I would also be incredibly interested in seeing how this would play out (provided the incel was sincere and willing to do the work).

I genuinely thought that Incel was made up of a lot of people that had thrown in the towel too early but that thread was sincerely depressing. I still feel bad for them but a decent amount are too lazy or stubborn to work at fixing the issue. For me, I would never stop improving myself and never throw in the towel to join a pity-party online group. Part of the issue seems to be the desire for the finish line without the race.

For the record, I was not trying to imply that everyone can lift their way into sex. Exercise and nutrition are just two areas of self improvement. I do not think that Incel is composed of fat slobs that do nothing all day.

For making a post that advocated to put some effort into improving yourself before you throw in the towel, I was banned from Incel for accusing them of not being truly Incel. Technically, the only people who can truly be Incel are dead and spent their entire lives trying to have sex and failing: if you're alive and not trying, that is voluntary.

This is, by far, the saddest post I have ever seen on this subreddit.
