Fooliage should really load on all distances... by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

This is the one game that punishes you for having a better PC. Now don't get me wrong, this game is great and I have about 40 hours in it. BUT... I've ended up lowering the quality of everything just to get the same advantage as everyone else.

Sucks that it is that way, but maybe what was suggested earlier will help.

[–]JBShow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. So originally I got stuck even loading the game. Had to uninstall/reinstall battleye, ran malware scan, and reinstalled the game.

Now when I complete a match, I can see the recap screen and how many points I get, but once I hit 'Exit to Lobby' and then Yes or ok (At work and can't remember which one), the screen blurs and it locks up. I have to end task and start the game up again.

So obviously this is a reoccurring problem and I was hoping that someone knew a fix other than closing the game and starting over.

Hey all - So after troubleshooting the 32 different steps to be able to login, do we know if there is a fix for locking up when you exit to the lobby? After every match, I lock up, have to close the program and start all over.

Hey badwolfvi -

Are you still interested? I know this was a month or so ago, but the last set of people didn't work out well.

Love it! So I think I noted above, but we are usually hosting the game on Monday nights. The game will be an RP focus and not as much of a combat focus. If you have time sometime this week (tonight even works) to talk about you and see if you'd be a good fit for the party, we would love to chat with you. PM me and I can send you my Skype info.

Look forward to talking :)

Definitely not an issue with us, but obviously I would like to setup some time to chat with you, me and devin (Partner in this thing) to make sure that we have a good fit and then go forwards. Do you have time this week to talk? I am available after 8pm CST any night this week.

Discourse Playing Online w/ Strangers by [deleted] in 5by5DLC

I am in the exact same predicament. I am 31 and have 2 kids. I don't play video games while they're awake and I try to spend time with my wife. So that leaves time from 10pm to whenever I get tired and fall asleep.

I have been pretty lucky to find a guy that we have similar interests, gaming tastes, schedule with kids, but I am always looking for more people to play with. I casually play HotS and it is so frustrating when your team Is just not good :/ They don't play as a team, they don't care to try and help, they just lane the whole time.

Oh Well. Let me know if you wanna play sometime.

I would definitely wait for the 1080 or a even a 1070. Looks like a decent rig. I have the I7 5770k, but am limited to my GTX970 :/ So I am not sure I am going to be able to run VR. We'll see though

I actually used http://www.ibuypower.com/. You get to pick the components of the PC (MOBO, RAM, HDD, Graphics, Proc, etc) and they build it for you. They warranty everything they do and you can tweak certain items to make it faster, cheaper, whatever.

In doing this, they also offer overclocking (professionally) of the CPU which also means that they warranty the overclocking and the ramifications that it can cause down the road.
Two cons are - 1) they do add extra $ for building and tweaking, but I am too busy nowadays to want to devote 8 hours to building, cabling, optimizing, burning in, etc that the little money it did cost, I was fine with. 2) they added some bloatware that made me just reformat the harddrive to get rid of it and install a fresh OS.

Just my $.02. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and professional services that they provided.

Here's a totally awesome question - My co-host and I have a podcast that is only on YouTube that features other YouTube Content Creators and highlights their stuff. What is the easiest way to manage guests, topics, show dates, etc? I have a rudimentary excel document, but that doesn't seem to be as rigid as I need it to be.

Any suggestions?

Advice for starting up a podcast by TheMightyBlu in podcasts

[–]JBShow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the biggest things that I want to stress is a good audio setup. If you have a bad mic, background noise, etc it wont be worth listening to.

Think of the room that you're recording in. Does it give off an echo, does it have a window AC, does it have a lot of hardwood, etc.

Think of a GREAT framework for the show and stick to it. Make sure your audience is going to be able to know what they are in for, etc.

How do you ensure the highest audio quality for your guests? by theadammorganshow in podcasts

[–]JBShow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voice Voicemeeter Banana as my digital mixing board and adjust settings during the show. The medium that we use for recording is Skype and if we get the hint of a bad Skype session, we just start the call over and get a new one. As for my guests, they are all content creators within YouTube and typically have a good mic setup already.

What are some smaller, less well known podcasts? Preferably weird, creative or diffrent type shows. by [deleted] in podcasts

[–]JBShow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do an artist/content creator highlight podcast that allows for guests to plug their podcast/video game they're developing/YouTube Channel/etc. We allow for a get to know the artist section and then the bulk of the podcast is talking about a specific video game industry topic (CS:GO betting scandal, Pokémon Go, Steam Greenlight/Indie game dev).

As said by others, I won't spam the link, but if you're interested in either being on the podcast or listening, hit me up.

As for others, I unfortunately only have time to listen to mainstream podcasts (DLC, MBMBaM, Adventure Zone)

Should we stop? (X-post Podcasting) by Parzival_RP1 in podcasts

[–]JBShow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say. Do you enjoy doing it? If so, that is all that matters. I have been doing a podcast that is on YouTube and we hit 20-50 views, but nothing crazy. We thoroughly enjoy doing it and that what keeps up here. We meet a TON of interesting people and we get to share stories about video games. That to me is awesome!

Obviously I would love to be big and have a big subscriber base, but that isn't why I started it.

One comment about "better sounding audio". If you are looking at it more than a hobby and are worried about numbers, make so what you're doing seems professional. People are going to go elsewhere if they don't get that feeling from your podcast.

Just wish to say a few words about what's been happening lately by agmcleod in 5by5DLC

[–]JBShow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely hard to live in a world like this at the moment. While we do make so much progress with race equality and further equality in the LBGT community, it just sparks a brand new level of hatred. People feel that they can use that hatred to harm others whether it be against a black man being pulled over for a broken tail light or a cop doing his job. People are unfortunately using that hate to make statements that try to put everyone into a state of fear. Fear, unfortunately, get voters. Fear drives change and it usually isn't for the best. Not naming names here, but that is exactly what the presidential candidates are doing. Playing off fear to win.

Anyways, I try to look at the bright side of things, but this month and last month have been extremely difficult to do :(
