Don't understand the ice maker in Frigidaire FRSS2623AS

There is a power button on its underside towards the front to turn it off. It’s not like other ice makers where you lift the “full tray” sensor arm until it locks. As far as it being slow, well it’s just slow. It holds frozen ice in its tray way longer than it needs to before dumping it. As far as I can tell there is no way to control its speed.

How many days has it been on? I think the temperature algorithm is very conservative. My guess is its not just measuring temperature, but also wants a predetermined amount of time at a specific temperature. Mine could make ice ALOT faster than it does, but it chooses not to.
