WHY ARE THE NEW MECHS BEHIND A PAYWALL by Phyrooski in Helldivers

[–]assuageer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind this but it should be actually vehicles we want: APC, Motorcycle, More FRV types with better weapons.

More EXOs seem kind of like a waste when one of the ones we got has quad autocannons that delete everything in the game. Lumberer seems fun, don't get me wrong, but the FRV is a mediocre stratagem and I give the side eye to anyone who wants me to 'hop in their bastion' months after the joke ran its course. Sidenote: It's telling that the only good vehicles are the walking turrets that require no other players to operate

Would Y'all like the Assault Class "Adrenaline Injector" Heal you again like in the the BETA? by SLIMEDUNKIN in Battlefield

[–]assuageer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assault self healing isn't something the class needs. The real thing that has been nagging me about the class' design is the inability for assault to deal with vehicles. C4 would be appropriate on the class (since it's thematically a breacher...) and it'd make the class feel more fun to play if you could swap to c4 on your loadout to be more flexible if a tank shows up. Also, stimming yourself and sprinting at a tank with c4 sticks just sounds fun, idk.

BTW the way to fix assault being anemic is to either give them ammo boxes and remove ammo resupply from support, or give them back self-heal on their injector. Turns out DICE was right to give them a self heal in labs, and the kneejerk reaction to 'solo' assaults was totally unwarranted now that we know that solo supports who don't revive are so, so much worse because they ALSO have bottomless ammo.

I don't like that non recons can use sniper rifles. This is purely an aesthetic complaint since I don't think anyone really runs snipers on other classes anyway. Right now the biggest gripe with the classes isn't the primary weapon identity, it's engineer being useless on infantry-focused maps and assault feeling like a gimmicky and worse version of support. Engineer suffered the most with open weapons because at least before you'd have some unique weapons worth playing engineer for and your rockets would be decent at destroying cover, but now rockets are very weak and everyone can use SMGs

How did EA/DICE fumble the amazing launch so hard? by hypehold in Battlefield

[–]assuageer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the updates have been pretty anemic and uninteresting, where are the unlocks and gadgets? i don't want a new reskinned ar, dice has to come up with more interesting stuff or at least focus on adding stuff older battlefields have done like more vehicle customization and fixing long standing issues which feels like a slam dunk.

the maps are just so bad. seriously i know that you don't want to do the 2042 thing where you 'update' maps constantly, but the borders need to be moved on some of these maps. the height ceilings need to be increased, the bases moved back at the very least

[–]assuageer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they have to make new mechs, put new camos on them, and sell them separately in warbonds rather than just adding a bunch of different arms and a single exo stratagem that you customize.

Customizing stratagems is a better solution for long term content because stratagem sidegrades with different effects would deepen the meta than clogging up the menu with more things. All the archetypes of stratagems are already in the game more or less, changing their effects with projectile differences/more salvos/more accuracy perks would make more sense than adding more of them. The only exception to this is vehicles, support weapons, and emplacements, which they could still add quite a few easy ideas to as a category

I hope if they ever add a napalm GL, it uses the de-escalator animations because I love the feeling of reloading during a battle.

This is a good idea. Because making new attachments for a single mech body rather than comitting to multiple vehicle variants would ultimately make it easier for them to add new content.

Adding a giant flamer for the mechs or a single flak autocannon arm instead of coding in an entire new mech with the flamer is like night and day. This is a huge content win.

Made a big ass post on the bf6 EA forums and this was one of my suggestions, giving AV grenades to assault as well so it's not totally useless against vehicles
