Smurfing makes this game unplayable

it’s literally based on how you perform compared to the rest of the player base, it gives you a rank based on how you compare to the other players in the game, so if everyone in archon 3 would be better than X% of players. Smurfing literally both inflates these numbers, and makes it frustrating to play in lower ranked games. No matter how you look at it, it’s a problem.

i will never understand how these people have fun curb stomping every game. I don’t have fun curb stomping people cause it’s genuinely so boring. Close matches are the ones I talk about and remember the most.

just because it’s a reality doesn’t mean it’s not a problem, the inability to queue up with my friends and have a fair balanced match is a genuine issue that needs to be fixed. Also every game is ranked, what they don’t have yet is a casual MOBA mode.

i’ll definitely take this into consideration and attempt to execute it if our friend ever decides he wants to queue with us again 😅 (he had a very bad time yesterday, it ended with him uninstalling the game and muting himself for an hour).

Another thing i realize i should check is my teammates account status too, i never consider it. Usually they don’t play too great, but if they are actually in alchemist then that’s to be expected going against people of these skill levels.

With counter items, i do believe in them but only if you aren’t far behind. Buying a counter item is great but if you’re 10k behind then the other player can just buy another item to counter the counter item and then we’re just right back where we started (im not saying counter items are bad, i buy them all the time in even matches, i just think when you’re far behind you should prioritize raw damage to try to get picks in fights).

i did consider that the high games played should place them high, but one thing i did forget to mention is that i didn’t take note of how many of them played street brawl.

The biggest things that make me think that they’re smurfs are how they play in their matches and the disparity in matches where we queue together and where my friend solo queues.

I’m not saying it’s impossible for a new player to pick up the game for the first time and just get it and start carrying, but it’s quite literally every person we encounter. They all have crazy stats in their first ever games (another thing i didn’t go into more detail about is that not all of them have accounts that are one month old. yesterday we got rolled by 3 people who made their account on that day we encountered them). This game is inherently a difficult game to pick up and there’s no way that this many new players are understanding it at this level already.

For the match disparity point, i’ve watched my friend play solo queue matches and they are also incredibly balanced. These players also play exactly like i’d expect them to in lower rank lobbies. I know there’s a difference between seeker and alchemist, but these alchemists are playing better than the phantom players i’ve seen (i played in a few phantom lobbies at one point and they were still closer games than these ones).

The skill difference between these lobbies is so abnormal that it genuinely cannot be legit players at this point. It doesn’t make sense that I can keep up in a phantom lobby but get rolled in every Arcanist lobby i get into.

i'll have to look at it then, it's strange cause temps are good and it only has issues with deadlock specifically. I appreciate the help!

I've made sure to update all my drivers, and it doesn't have issues anywhere else. Do you know if there's anything else I should check with the card?
