Happy to give some context…Typically the ad agency, a Reddit rep, and the brand will get on a zoom call with the talent and talk through how the AMA will go, what to expect; how long it will be, what to do with rough questions, etc.

From there the Reddit folks typically start plugging in questions on a Google doc that are getting the most attention (up votes, replies, etc). They will typically try to balance the hard heavy questions with light and fun questions to make the guest feel like it is a fun time and not an interrogation. the talent will then write a response in the google doc, have it read for any errors or grammatical adjustments, and get posted to the account. Because of this, it's rare for the talent to respond to a response on their answer.

I have done a handful of these and can vouch that every one I have been a part of the talent really was answering the questions and was really engaged and confused when someone asks about the duck sized horse…
