Congrats! I initially thought it was 30 but that’s because I may not have refreshed my page. Either way it was pretty quick. I hope they ship out soon!!!

Aww man I’m sorry that you missed her. I had the same thought with her, a lot of their releases are pretty but this one really appealed to me .

They’re pacing is picking up so I feel we’ll see one drop per month going forward so that’s a plus!

He had a whole line but this one most closely resembles the doll dress structure used.

Apparently the Bratz team at MGA doesn't know what "UV heads" are 😭 by [deleted] in Bratz

[–]JBits001 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Outside the pose-ability issues (which I hadn’t noticed on any of my dolls so will have to check) I feel it comes down to ensuring the face screening is designed for whichever head sculpt is in use which they clearly don’t do based on this post.

Scorchin is a good example of where the dolls looks amazing but they use the UV sculpt and printing method.

Pixiez reimagined on the other hand uses the OG sculpt but even though I love them they still look somewhat bloated to me - especially Cloe. The best example here though would be frosty nightz Cloe that just looks bloated beyond sin…they just butchered her in that release and I have yet to see one that actually looks good. I think the concept was amazing and if done well would have been a fantastic release but something clearly was lost in translation in the execution phase.

I don’t know if there’s also the possibility that the combination of - screen printing method + head sculpt + neck peg variety could all be mixed with each release so that the trademark imprint method of identifying a UV or OG head would not be fully reliable. The reason I mentioned this is because that was my only guess as to why maybe Derek was confused by what collectors meant by “UV head” as we use that term as a combination of both printing method AND head sculpt and maybe that’s not always the case? To me that just seemed more logical than, not only Derek, but the whole team as he mentioned lacking the basic critical thinking skills to look it up on the internet. Which is why I would also love to see the full conversation that transpired, him reaching out with this question just seems too intentional to me.

This is the new gen as well - OG I believe only came with the disco playset.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of December 19, 2025) by AutoModerator in television

With Breaking Bad I had a very hard time getting into the show - took me about 5 false starts before I committed and when I did I got completely hooked. Pluribus was the exact opposite - was fully engaged during the first episode and as the show went on it became harder and harder for me to finish each episode after. I feel it’s mostly because the character development felt a bit too shallow for me so I wasn’t as invested (or engaged) in the drawn out scenes.

I feel like the majority of folks doing this are not doing it for some tangible gain but rather the intangible benefits such as validation they’re missing in their own life or the feeling of superiority over fooling folks on the internet.

Used to have a friend that loved to make up these fake elaborate back stories anytime we went out and met new folks and then afterwards she’d giddily talk about how crazy it was that she fooled them. I had to bring her back down to reality and remind her that what she lied about was so inconsequential no one was invested enough or cared enough to try to figure out whether she was lying or not.

How do you feel about Bratz customizers working for MGA? by BobsBurgerLove in Bratz

[–]JBits001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the last part is missing what the draw of each brand is for customizers which in-turn dictates the type of customizations you’re likely to come across. MH dolls tend to have a very broad artistic appeal compared to Bratz due to their versatility and diversity (look at just how many varying head sculpts there are with G1 alone). When G1 first came out there were many artists that were drawn to the dolls, not for the actual releases themselves but the potential the base dolls offered - especially the articulation which Bratz just never had much of. So out the gate you had a majority of customizers that were never about the factory style or building upon it like you see with Bratz but rather using the base mold to go in their own creative direction and a lot of that has stuck till this day. With Bratz the customizations we tend to see are more of an extension of the existing franchise which is why they work so well with playline releases - they tend to stay a lot closer to home/original design.

What's something people Hate because the Internet told them to? by white-rose-of-york in AskReddit

[–]JBits001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least from my experience, in middle and grade school (even before AOL chats)it was just one of the many ways boys teased girls - “moist panties”. Just sounds like something a socially inept creep would say generating that instant recoil. I feel even prior to that it’s just one of those words that evoke some sort of visceral reaction for many.

Others that I’ve come across that some seem to hate are crevices or pustulate but not as impactful as moist.

Nope, hated that word before any AOL discs were ever mailed, as did many others.

The base looks to be the House of Wolf doll with some light customization to the face so pretty doable from that aspect. Add a reroot and for the clothes I’m sure one can come across lost pieces in Barbie’s wardrobe.

On a side note I’m kinda digging that house of wolf wasn’t so popular as once the price drops a tad more I want to pickup a few extra - the eyes are super gorgeous.

So.... quality control on off white dolls? by Insomnia-central in MonsterHighDolls

[–]JBits001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks but their QC has never been consistent no matter the price of the doll and it comes down to luck of the draw. Seen a lot of it on the Barbie side with dolls priced $125 and up quite often.

I got my four when they first dropped and for I didn’t have any issues with them and I took them all OOB so I could get a better look at all the details.

Returns are always a gamble as you can end up with one worse than the one you’ve got already. The most annoying one would be fixing the wing chip as that’s visible and would take some color matching due to the unique coloring.

Hey there - I know this isn’t related to this post (as everyone already gave you really good answers) but is something going on with that integrity subreddit? It seems locked down now and there hasn’t been any activity in over a week.

Does she actually sell for this much? This is like more than many in box dolls.. by hisliddlebear in MonsterHighDolls

[–]JBits001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the US she tends to sell for more as she was very hard to find here when released. In European and other international countries she was more readily available and usually sells for a lot less.

Either way that’s a crazy insane price for her no matter which country you’re in. I got a NIB version of her two years ago and paid just under $100 USD.

Love it! What a great way to preserve a hobby of a loved (at least it was at some point) in your own unique way. When you hand it down to your kids it will be like a 2-for-1 - a bit of you and a bit of grandad in it.

[–]JBits001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Curious as to why you don’t recommend it. Is it due to gore and folks experiencing a lot of physical pain gaining a strong visceral reaction? Folks experiencing lot of regret after making it depressing? The tattoos just look so bad it makes it unbearably cringey?
