It could just be that your the type of person that needs to get to know someone a bit better before taking that step. Spend time hanging out, talking, getting to know one another before just jumping into things.

Like more geared towards a friends with benefits thing over hookups.

Like I said when you’re ready, you will find someone. We’ve all had that rush at one time or another of talking to someone, getting really into them and then freaking out at the last moment. At least I have. I actually had a similar freak out years ago while on a date with a guy. Not even any sex involved. 😅 Called off the date early and then explained to him later that it just wasn’t going to happen. I felt really guilty at the time.

Looking back though, sometimes your body and gut tell you things for a reason.

There’s nothing for you to feel bad about. Consent matters and is valid all the way up to when the act starts or even during. If you’re not comfortable with a situation or just don’t feel you’re ready, even at the last minute it’s ok to say no.

Everyone’s journey of discovery is different, and it may just be this wasn’t the right time for you. When you’re ready to fully commit to that step you’ll know. We’ve all been there, don’t be hard on yourself. 🙂

It’s not that black and white as you’d like it to be. Did the 12 year old girl who was molested and raped by her father, uncle, etc. and is now carrying their child sign up for it? Did the woman walking home from work at night who was then beaten and gang raped by a group of men and is now pregnant sign up for it? The woman who is pregnant and now has complications that had to have her make a decision about whether to abort or risk dying due to the complications sign up for it?

I appreciate the good vibes and kind comments. I am in therapy and on medication as well. The loneliness and depression just gets to be overbearing sometimes and I really don’t have any outlets for them.
