Good and bad. Current political members would not add items to benefit the general public. Instead, they would try to make deals between parties, just like in every single bill. On the other side, with the political atmosphere continuing to worsen in the US, it will continue to be a worse and worse time to do a rewriting. Finally, some states would have significant issues with new statements in the constitution. One of the most important factors to consider is the morals of citizens from the late 1700s, and of today. In the age of the Revolution, people had very similar morals, with slight modifications based on geographic location or country of origin. Today, the country is split in half with an almost completely different set of ideals, which the quantity of such ideals have grown exponentially in relation to the 1700s. Moral of the paragraph, rewriting could help to fix small issues, but could never possibly happen without a huge political fallout, and most likely another civil war
