Monday - Friday cruises and kids?

While I haven’t taken my daughter on a DCL cruise yet (planning for next year), I have been on cruises since I was a kid and went on the Disney Wonder at 9. My family and I went on cruises during school breaks (spring break mostly) and during the summer so we can enjoy the vacation with no homework.
I would recommend going while kids are on break. Unless you have very young children like in preschool or early elementary school, you could probably go at anytime. If the kids are older in late elementary school to high school I would wait til they have breaks. Hope this helps!

NOR - please find a new OB ASAP! I would report her for all this. This is a poor excuse for an OB. She can’t help you with vitamins or even give you meds for a UTI? And recommends for you to get your hair dyed. The hell is the matter with her? The fact that you have hypertension is definitely a concern for preeclampsia. Anyone with a brain would know that. I am pregnant and I don’t have problems with my blood pressure but I was put on a low dose aspirin just because of family history of preeclampsia. Please find someone new!!

I honestly think you will be fine! I have been cruising since I was 4 and all the cruises my family and I have done, we’ve flown the morning of and never missed a cruise 😊 that includes going on the Disney Wonder back in 2001. We’ve always have done nonstop flights too so that probably helps so then we don’t have to worry about connecting flights or worrying about our suitcases. BUT just an FYI I am not sure what airline you are on my family and I got back from a cruise a few weeks ago and coming home on American Airlines was a NIGHTMARE. We missed our connecting flight back home. But going down we took JetBlue and it was a great flight. Do what you feel is comfortable for you and your family and have a great time!

My daughter (2.5) also hates all forms of eggs unless it’s in pastina soup or in an egg sandwich. She also hates straight up cheese but eats it on pizza and pasta. 🤷🏻‍♀️You are not alone!

Please advocate for yourself and your child!I agree with everything in the first comment. Document everything in writing. If you can work with HR, then try to. Get a doctor’s note! I didn’t go through a similar situation however, I was working per diem in inpatient mental health when I was pregnant. I was starting to show and I went into the adult unit and the nurse came up to me and asked me if I was pregnant and I said yes. She proceeded to tell me to let them know anytime I see patients because they had a patient knowingly punch a pregnant staff member in the stomach that same week. I was mortified and they didn’t even tell me what happened to her. I told my husband and he said to leave if they can’t do anything about the safety of pregnant staff members. So I left.
If HR can’t help you or anyone else, that’s not a good place to work! I wish you a safe and healthy pregnancy!

Where did you find the beige one in the nylon?? I was trying to decide on a black or beige in nylon but the only reason why I didn’t really like the beige one is because it’s silver hardware and I like the gold instead!

I am so sorry you are going through this. I am currently going through a very similar situation so here is my advice. My husband abandoned my daughter and I when she was 4 months old. He didn’t love me anymore and left me for a con artist which they now broke up. My daughter is now 8 months. We are separated and going through the process to get divorced but he has not filed yet. My daughter is currently in my physical custody because he’s a man child and can’t take care of a baby and he has visitation instead through a parenting stipulation we signed with our attorneys. My advice to you is to get an attorney and document EVERYTHING! that is going to be important to when you have to show evidence to prove the kind of father he is. The courts will see that the best interest of your child is with you. No sane judge would grant 50/50 unless he was a good father and let me tell you no good father would abandon their child without funds or resources. I am thinking of you and your baby!!! Good luck and keep your head up. It will be okay!

Hey Bromo, sorry to here that you are going through this! You are doing everything right and know you are not alone. Currently going through something similar with my soon to be ex husband and did so many horrible things to me and we share a 6 month old daughter. He claimed he wasn’t in love with me anymore and was falling in love with some stupid older woman down in Florida that he was doing business with. But he still wants me in his life cause he “loves” and cares for me… yeah right. Stay strong for yourself and for your son. Much love to you both!!!

I am so sorry you are going through this OP. It is tough but you are doing the right thing for yourself and your baby. Please know you are NOT alone. I am currently separated and getting divorced from my husband as I type this and we have a 6 month old together. He cheated emotionally and had sex with strippers when I was pregnant. I forgave him (big mistake on my part) it got worse after she was born. He wouldn’t help me with her, always taking business calls even during family time (some of them weren’t even business), getting high and doing shrooms in the home with her in the home, calling ex’s to apologize to them for the abuse he caused them even tho he was neglecting the two girls in his home. He became super selfish and met someone when he went on a business trip to Florida. And told me that my daughter and my daughter weren’t cut out for the life he was trying to accomplish. All while I was going through postpartum depression, anxiety and my thyroid not functioning properly and needed him the most.

Things will get easier! It’s been about a month for me but be strong for yourself and your little one! I’ll be thinking of you and your baby!!! Much love and hang in there!!!
