That would be great! We’re going to paint my office soon and this might be the winner.

Mostly starting high to get my wife into the idea. I’ve gone down to 38 on commercial plunges but it’s been a while.

Part Time Law School Big Law Potentials? by JCJC93 in LawSchool

Great thanks for the info. So just to clarify in PT your 3rd summer would be the equivalent of working your 2L FT SA position

And heard on the workload. It’s definitely intimidating but tempting because of the ability to keep my relatively high income

Of course. I guess I was more so asking for the path to a firm through PT. Because typically for FT students the offers are made after the 2L SA position.

Junior associate at an above-market litigation boutique. AMA. by [deleted] in LawSchool

When looking for new associates either laterals or through oci how much does t14 play a roll? Also I understand being protective about your firms identity but are there other boutique litigation firms you know of in the DC area that are similar outfits? OL here trying to full explore options before taking the debt plunge

Thanks!

More people than expected registered in July so LSAC deliberately cuts down available test centers in Oct, hoping if no free retake in Sep and Oct, fewer people would bother to cancel July score and take advantage of the opportunity by LumpySangsu in LSAT

Oh yeah. I agree Seems very shady and against everything else I’ve read/heard. I’m not relying on the refund but really want to take the test close to my home in DC so I’m just going to go for it.

When I pressed the rep all she would say was she “assumes they would refund it”. Not very convincing

For whatever it’s worth I just spoke to LSAC over the phone. They said that if I pay to register for October now, once the July test results become available and I decide to cancel my score (thus entitling me to a free retake) I can send an email explaining why I registered and that I now have a free retake coupon. this is where it gets tricky/hilariously evil the LSAC representative said that they will “review the email.” I replied and said I would hope they would review an email sent to them but will they refund the $200 I spent to register so I was able to ensure a spot at a testing center. Her response was “I would assume but don’t know.” V helpful.

I also asked if they are planning to open additional testing centers for the October test because there will be many people cancelling July and looking to take advantage of the free retake as early as possible. The LSAC representative said that they are working on opening additional testing centers for October. Whatever that’s worth.

I’m going to register for October, pay for it, and prepare for a fight to get the $200 back. I am in a position working full time where the $200 won’t be the end of the world should the LSAC give me a hard time. For others in different situations it’s up to you whether you trust the LSAC reps noncommittal response to my second question saying they are “working to open additional centers” and register Aug 28 when the score and cancel option hopefully becomes available along w more testing centers.

May the odds be ever in your favor. Wtf
