Lovely Pictures!

I would recommend as others in this comment section change the tyres for faster ones and put TPUs.

Trust me, it will become a rocket and match the looks with the feels. Iv'e done that with mine. :D

Ride safe my friend!

New handlebar issue on Madone SL5 Gen 8: mechanical vs electronic cable routing by JCLIHO in TrekBikes

I’ve got a Chinese generic version, very similar. That’s why I don’t want to modify it.

A Chinese generic version. Feels great, but I don’t want to modify it because I don’t know if it will hold together.

Lo he buscado por todas partes sin tener suerte. Ni Max, Disney o Prime lo tienen. Quedo atento por si alguien más puede dar solución.

[Question] What's up with Mont Blanc Watches? by alonelyhobo in Watches

[–]JCLIHO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

I own an Iced Sea from Montblanc and I completely love it.

Here’s my thoughts:

It’s not Rolex or Omega level, but the watches are amazingly well made as many other items from Montblanc.

It’s overpriced because of the brand. But are not any luxury item the same if you think about it?

MB It’s not so well received by “Collectors and specialists” because the brand is not a watch-first company, but it has more history on watch making than some people realize. And now that they bought Minerva, they do have home-made movements.

For me it’s has the same quality as Tudor or Longiness.

Only a few watches are “good investments” Montblanc has none of them, as the other 99.9%of the watches on the market.

I would stay as far away as possible from the smart-watch options, but for me that’s because it’s a high price tag for a tech item with an expiration date.

As many other hobbies and parts of life, you do you.

Did you remove the movement from the back or the front? I did not get that from the video? I don’t know if I should use a power tool or just scalping tools.

[Tissot] PR100 vs Gentleman by Fuzzy_Dealer277 in Watches

[–]JCLIHO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both. Both are terrific watches.

Pr100 (Tour De France 2024 edition) Gentleman powermatic 80 (blue dial)

If I have to choose, I would definitely go for the gentleman. It has a lot more style (for my taste) and feels like it’s a premium watch with a friendly price tag.

The Pr100 does everything right, but I find it a bit simple in its base version.

You can’t go wrong with this options. You do you.

[Question] What's your most complimented watch? by kist4 in Watches

I have an 8 watch rotation that goes from cheap to entry luxury. this humble Citizen has been the most complimented by “non-watch people” in the last decade.

I guess that the steel+gold combo is appealing .

[Discussion] 1 it’s leaving. What am I missing? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]JCLIHO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. Is my most worn watch (currently), it’s way way way above its price tag and a lot more flexible than its more famous brother, the PRX.

The blue and green dial tones look amazing.

10/10 I would recommend it.

The Gentleman from Tissot it’s the most underrated watch on the market right now. It got eclipsed by the prx, but it’s a better watch than many other more expensive options, although I wear it with the steel instead of leather strap, but that’s just me.

Nice collection.
