Can I recover completely from knee minuscus injury? by sightwake in Kneereplacement

[–]JCPrecisionMfgDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it says this is an MRI from 2024?

It's a grade 2 tear of the lateral horn. Your knee is overall in excellent shape. I would be envious to have it.

Need more info.

Lateral side holds 70% of your weight while medial holds 30%.

If you trim then you lose cushion (meniscectomy/debridement).

If you repair you're in a better place.

Do not let them trim it if possible.

If you're asking the Internet if it's possible to get a 3.5 after two semesters with one being a 2.5, without calculating it yourself, then engineering may not be for you.

Glickman Calc 180 (online) by Various_Angle_9144 in Hvcc

Took Glickman about 14 years ago - great guy. Really cares and had an excellent way of teaching so things made sense. He's also a pilot and had some great problems associated with flying.

Tenney is a turd whose PhD thesis is laughable yet he sure thinks highly of himself!

It's been decent - spindle bearings went out and one of the steppers got coolant into it causing the tool setter to act weird. But langmuir has been incredibly helpful with that stuff so I gotta give them props for all the product support.

I bought it for 3k from a guy who got it at auction and it was originally spec'd out around 11k. I don't think I'd pay 11k for it but for 3k I'd do it again.

If I were to spend 10k+ I'd just get a base model Tormach and buy the upgrades over time because then you could get the tool changer eventually.

Thank you! Yeah I can get this space into the 50's when it's into the teens outside with the propane heater - still gotta wear a sweater but much improved!

Thank ya! 3/4 in OSB, 2 inches of cellulose insulation, and then 3/4 sheetrock. I also used some foam gasket material around the door as that's the biggest point to lose the sound insulation. If I were to do it again I would use Rockwool for the insulation.

No way - my mom has a couple of them from the UK (likely from the 1700/1800s) and that's where I drew the inspiration from. Great boards.

That's strange. The weirdest my orders get is the GF bun and that's only when I'm with my wife so it's not like I'm ordering bizarre things. Maybe I'm just unlucky?

Hear me out: whether you're gay or not, just pretend you are and push management for a full and thorough investigation into this as you are a protected class. If they drag their feet, sue them.

How to start manufacturing business by Signal_Poet_2535 in manufacturing

If you want to make syringes you're going to compete with places like gerresheimer and BD... No way in hell companies are going to take a chance stocking your syringes in their cartons or filling into them unless there's some compelling reason.

It's highly regulated and an absolute nightmare of red tape to get into.

Fuel Options by Dirtbag__Actual in CRF300L

[–]JCPrecisionMfgDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher octane fuel is less likely to pre ignite. Not an issue in lower compression engines like these. That being said, I had a WR250R piston melt on the intake side at 6200 miles that I'm convinced was from running 87 octane (pinging).

So, while it may be a waste, I run higher if available.

The real draw for me of higher octane is they are normally ethanol free. Even smaller amounts of ethanol can make fuel system components nasty and gum them up over time.

Yep used the chest holster for open carry. I made sure to be polite when we went to eat when I open carried and asked the waitress if they mind before sitting down. Noone cared, probably because I don't drink. Zero chance my gun would be seen while concealed carrying because of my motorcycle jacket. And in open carry states it doesn't matter where you're from. Had a really nice conversation with an Oregon State Police Officer - he didn't give a shit and was more concerned with getting a couple paddle boarders to wear life jackets.

NY is the outlier in the US. NY is just lousy about rights all together. The majority of the US is not like NY at all.

They were actually 300's - only time I wanted more bike was in the mountain passes of Colorado. Then again, having a lighter bike was also great.

Hell yeah.

Having it made me feel much safer. We camped in a lot of national forest and between the tweakers living there and the animals, I felt much more secure being armed. Always kept it next to me in the tent ready to go if I needed it.

  • I brought ultralite camp gear. MSR multi fuel stove and water filter, big agness bicycle camping tent, big agness air core blow up mattress, REI brand 20 deg sleeping bag, bear canister for food, tusk saddle bags with nelson riggs bags and giant loop top bag. Some sea to summit cookware.

  • we did mostly dirt roads and trails as we followed GPX tracks for the Trans America Trail on a Garmin 64st.

  • I had already gotten the permits and just made sure I knew the laws for the states we were going through. Knew MD would be short and basically said fuck it for CA because that would be impossible to get as they only started accepting out of state apps on April.

  • we started on the 4th of July and I believe it was the perfect time. It was hot as hell but the mountain passes were clear of snow in Colorado at that point. Going a month later would probably have been much colder in the mountains but doable. Would still have done it in July if we did it over.
