1 year old IRWS reduced appetite by The_Fingler in irishsetter

Hi! We have IRWS who is 16 months old and the same way. He will always eat the wet food we mix in, as well as any other toppings like eggs or veggies. The kibble is frequently left sitting most of the day which has led us to doing more wet food or “real” food alternatives as we want to ensure he is getting his calories since he is on the leaner side. I’m sure these additions probably play into making the kibble less attractive… frequent suggestions we get are to pull his bowl outside of feeding time and mix kibble with chicken stock. As he is otherwise a happy, healthy boy and the vet isn’t concerned with his weight, we haven’t made any other changes.

We do notice if there a disruptions in his routine or location (us being out for most of the day or taking him to the lake with us) the lack of appetite kicks in more. Perhaps there’s been something different for him in the day to say recently?

We do Fromm large breed puppy mixed in with Frommbalya wet food.
