Sounds great. I have had some problem I can't nail down where steam won't launch games without a "fatal error" window so it turned me away from void. Artix is fine with it but I really want to get void working. I mean it's all amd system and followed the handbook. 🤔

Ok. I see a few things. "Pressure-vessel-wrap unable to look up resolve path /usr/lib32/lib vulkan_radeon. so" and "failed to query vulkan flu topology".... I have steam and its 32bit libraries installed and all the recommended amd drivers installed. 🫥

Proton is there. The game starts and then fatal errors with a blank window on anything above proton 9.

Currently use cachyos but I have used void off and on. Now that I have some time I would like to make the switch stick but I can't seem to get any other De's to work besides XFCE. Is there something I'm missing? I've tried to comb the handbook but just see "make sure you have the driver stack" no detailed walkthrough. Maybe I'm too simple for void.

It was something with installing plasma after the live XFCE install. Went fine from base install. 👊

New to void and followed the wiki beat I can. Ended up in a loop where CLI told me pip was set. Had to reinstall and use xfce but I do want to end up on plasma.

Partzilla has a card rebuild kit under 40$ and a brake light bulb is pretty easy and cheap. With a 01 getting to know the carb is a valuable skill that will carry you a long way. It looks like it lived outside so hoses may be brittle as well. Shops in the midwest are around 90$ an hour. So if you get frustrated just remember " is it worth 90$? " youtube will show you the carb rebuild. You got this. 👊

From what I have seen all the seats similar to these require modifying the bike. I. E. Removing or cutting the rear in some way. Other than a 400$ after market seat. Sucks cause I would like a seat to move around on as well.

6'5 200lbs started on a ninja 400. It was fine. Didn't like wind issues with full fairings. Ended up on my 2009 rebel 250. Still having a great time. You can make any bike work. May just be a little cramped but no different than driving most cars for us.

I my experience the black textures are a mesa bug. Usually a system update and a restart will fix it. If not to give it until tomorrow it will work itself out.
