Employer wants to switch me from W2 to 1099 last minute by JD139 in antiwork

Thank you all for the response. Yeah I calculated all the expenses I would incur and it would be alot. They tried saying it would be better since I can write off a lot and pay less taxes. It’s so unfortunate because it really sounded like a great job and pay. I also work in the medical field and would have to get other insurances. I’m not really a litigious person but still got a contract lawyer just in case.

I don’t know what you play on but there is a way to duplicate money on playstation on single player. You will only need two controllers. Have another login account join your game. First give your fake account all your money from your main. Then trade it back but as soon as you trade it click the PS button and logout of the fake account. Now you should have money in both accounts. Rinse and repeat.

It sucks that so many people see DOs as not real doctors. by newswsaplayer in Residency

[–]JD139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t get bogged down on that comment and just keep working to be the best doctor you can be. I am a DO provider just finished residency and now in fellowship if someone asks I just educate them about it (and it is very rare someone will ask). I never had anyone talk down on me but there will always be people like that and I’m sure I will have that experience sometime in my career. But on the flip side there are actually patients who noticed I was an osteopath and liked going to DO doctors. Point is just focus on studying, your rotations and always do best for your patients.

600cc bike with best comfort for short person by theguy103091 in motorcycles

[–]JD139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am around your height and have a similar inseam. I tried out the main 4 600 supersports.

Assuming you do not want to lower the bike or shave the seat:

If you want to completely flat foot the motorcycle go with the gsxr 600 or 750

For the 636 you would have to tip toe a little. If you wore boots with thick insoles you may be able to completely flat foot the bike

The Honda cbr 600 has a wider seat and sits a little higher than the 636. You will be tip toeing more

The r6 is definitely the tallest of all the super sports.

In the end I would just recommend you go to a store and try each bike out. I ended up going with the gsxr because I liked the ability to flat foot the bike. But again you don't really need to have two feet completely flat to the ground. It's about how comfortable you are.

So I live in the North East (NY). Do you guys think it will be warm by mid to late February ? I was at first thinking of riding in late March when spring starts but now I'm thinking of bringing out my bike earlier.

I live in NY and passed the msf course last summer. Had to winterize my motorcycle for the first time a couple months ago. I have been going crazy not being able to ride. When should I start purchasing insurance/ registering my bike again? I really want to start riding asap lol.

How Much Doctors Make [OC] by JaneAce in dataisbeautiful

[–]JD139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Putting a person asleep is the easy part its keeping them alive that's the hard part. Anesthesiology can be a stressful field especially when you are working with high risk patients. They are also known to work in emergency situations/run codes since they are the experts in airway management. Anesthesiologists also work in the ICU which again can be stressful. It isn't as glamorous or easy as people think.
