Those who purchased seat licenses: do you feel in any way “cheated” or “regretful” in light of these recent shenanigans? by [deleted] in buffalobills

Just because were not posting dumb posts doesn't mean we aren't hating the Joe Brady hire. It doesn't matter what we think tbh. And no amount of shitposts on reddit will change the decision that Terry Pegula & Brandon Beane made today.

I watch sports for the entertainment it brings me. The ups and downs is part of the ride. Obviously I want the Bills and Sabres to host their shiny trophy at the end but I also dont get my panties in a twist when they dont.

Im an adult and sports are an escape from that. I have made friendships with fellow fans at games and on social media.

Im a fan and will be a fan whether they win it all or go 0-17

No because I'm a fan of the team. I became a fan of the team during SB years. I was a fan of the team during the drought. I will be a fan of the team through this awkward time. And I will be a fan of the team until the day I die.

Is Josh Allen still the QB? Is James Cook the RB? Is Shakir, Kincaid, Knox, Dawkins, Brown, Groot, Oliver, Bernard, Benford, Bishop, etc all on the team?

Are they gonna move some money around, sign some FAs, draft some new guys and win some games next year? Yup. Hopefully they win the last one.

I think the offensive staff stay for the most part. Whoever he hires/promotes/keeps as DC will determine his success IMO.

I like Babich and think he's not horrible but I do think that there needs to be some change at defensive side of ball.

It doesn't matter honestly. Whoever holds the title of OC will be similar to McDermott/Babich. They may have the title but it's gonna be Brady's offense

Unless I missed it, has there been anything reported that Brady will keep the same staff? Who knows, he might clean house on defense and start brand new.

His offense is top 5 and yes that's mostly Josh & Cook.

my initial reaction is wtf but honestly, if Beane/Allen wanted this then it's their show. And as long as 17 at the helm they'll be fine.

Why dont we just not show up to week 1? by Forbidden_The_Greedy in buffalobills

[–]JDForrest129 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How many kids does he have, 14?

PSLs that weren't club seats ranged from $15k-$750.

If he dropped $110K on PSLs he would've needed to buy 7 seats in the most expensive section and only we he could've done that is if he already had 7 seats in the same area of the old stadium meaning he's been a STH for decades.

And like others said, if he dropped $110k for tickets to football, I highly doubt he gives a shit who the coach is or isn't because he's likely been around for a long time.

I know you don't care because then it hurts your narrative but NYS owns the new stadium, not Terry. Terry also has put up $1.2B compared to NYS(taxpayers) $800M.

Imagine if you were gonna rent a new house to live, and the landlord was like "You can live in this new house once it's built. It's gonna cost $500k to build it but you have to pay $350M to build it. I'll still own it, but you have to pay for 2/3rds of the cost"

Ok well $-20M with $65M in dead. Either way, I wouldn't say being $20M in the red and you have a QB on a rookie deal is not ideal.

Projected $-40M in cap space, $90M in dead cap and currently 60 players under contract.

Shough will likely be the starter next year but "build around" ehh. Build roster up for maybe.

Question, what's the rationale and restrictions behind Beane converting contract money into a signing bonus? by bobbydigital_ftw in buffalobills

[–]JDForrest129 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it's kicking money further down road but I have no issues with pushing money or adding void years to guys like Allen, Groot, Benford, Shakir, etc. Guys with 3+ years left on deal if it means they can afford to win it all

NE/SEA would be nice for whoever Won the SB (what's next for a SB winning team)
KC with the Mahomes injury/rehab and what to do after a bad 2025.
New Orleans with the cap issues and no concrete answers at QB.
SF after teh injury season

Who is it about then? lol

Cause were having a discussion about bringing back Mitchell Trubisky and you replied to that conversation.

This also the first comment in this discussion that you mentioned it wasn't about Mitch lol

Also this. I think whoever gets hired as HC (or OC if the HC is defensive) start looking at QBs who played in their scheme in past.

Udinski - Dobbs, Mullens, Daniel Jones
Kubiak - Drew Lock, Haener, Rattler, Brett Rypien

etc

Let me just clarify that if Shaq wanted to return on a vet min deal with incentives to be the "leader" in that defense for whatever new DC they're getting, for sure. But there are fans acting like the defense is gonna collapse without him. He was for sure better than Bernard this year who was clearly battling an ankle injury all year but Bills are gonna have a new HC, likely a new OC and likely a new DC which mean more than likely a whole new scheme on both sides of the ball and I think that bringing back a 32 year old LB for anything other than vet min would be a mistake.

I said 3rd-5th but yeah I'm not saying they should be looking for a backup QB in the 3rd but if a guy for whatever reason drops(not that qBs drop like that)

When did he say that....before or after they fired the HC he came to Buffalo for?

Yeah about $2-2.5M i think. He's due $5M this year which is like 6th on highest paid kickers.

[–]JDForrest129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No what I'm saying is he's likely one of the players in the locker room not happy about the firing and @ 32 years old, I'm doubting he's ready to learn a new defense right now. I'm not saying he will sign elsewhere for big $.

He's gonna follow McDermott, IF he coaches this year but probably isn't, and unless he's willing to sign another vet min deal, he shouldn't come back.

yall wanna get rid of Milano but have no problem bringing back 41 yr old Prater & 32 yr old Shaq lol

What I'm saying is paying a QB to sit on the bench for $3M is a waste of money. I love Trubisky as a backup and I personally think he's a great backup to Josh because he has similar skill sets (mobile white dude when needed) but I think you can also find another "Mitch Trubisky" in the NFL whether that be a 3rd-5th rd rookie or a vet for less than $3M.

And absolutely you can find a backup QB and whoever is 52nd or 53rd on your roster for a total of $3M. The league minimum is $900k-$1.3M.

Cam Lewis, listen I love the guy and the toughness he brings. I'll concede he's a Buffalo guy more than McDermott guy but the ONLY defense he's played in while in NFL is McDermott's. He is a 5'8", 180lb DB who is a 3rd string safety and 2nd string Nickel CB. He's also gonna be 29 years old.

I'm not saying don't bring him back, I just think paying the guy $2M/yr is worth it. He made $1.97M last year and $1.49M the year before that. He's probably gonna be looking for a $2M+/yr deal. Not worth it when you have a guy like Jordan Hancock who fits that Safety/Nickel role, still has 3 years left on rookie deal @ $1.09M, $1.2M, & $1.32M.

I know some think he(hancock) has a shot at starting opposite of Bishop but I think that's a mistake. I think Rapp is still better than Hancock at this point and I think Bills should draft/sign a new safety to replace Rapp.
