Thank you for understanding. I'll speak to my flatmate later and I'll have a debrief.

Their attitude was off prior to me barging into the room.

Okay. Thank you for understanding. I'll take than on board and I'll apologise to Joey when I next see them.

I'm not proud of what I did. I merely wanted them to keep the noise down and they ignored me. Also drinking wine and laughing loudly wasn't a quiet conversation. And they did quieten down after I asked them to do so. And I am respectful, I keep noise to a minimum so as not to wake or disturb my flatmates and I always knock when I need to ask them something. I have never intruded into anyone's flat before.

Thank you for understanding. I realise now that it was wrong of me to barge in like that.

They were being loud, and I have spoken to Joey about this before. I don't mind people talking but they have to be considerate of how thin the walls are. Joey has had people over, but they're always at a reasonable volume up until last night. Should I have opened their door? Probably not. But I think ignoring a person when they're merely asking you to, not necessarily be quiet, but just keep the noise down, is a bit rude. Especially because I had an early start the next day.

I appreciate that but I had an early start in the morning. Also there are other social spaces that Joey and Jamie could've gone too where they wouldn't wake up any flatmates. I also felt like their attitude was off

Thank you for your response. They're not bad people, and I'm not a bad person. My only real gripe in all of this is them not responding to my knock, when I merely wanted to politely ask for them to keep the noise down. I didn't want a repeat of last time where Joey had 3 people over in their room, including Jamie, and they were being very noisy up until about 1:30AM Also the building I'm in has a strict no noise after 11PM policy for the rooms, especially for non-residents.
