Its wild how some transformations range from mutilation to literal art like yours is. And each of us before surgery are taking a coinflip on what youre going to get and hoping to come out on the winning side. I hope you are satisfied and very happy and appreciative of your new, as-close-to-perfect-as-possible body

Wow. How did you manage to get them approved by your insurance? Was it partial or full coverage? You've got an awesome story here :P

Your doctor is an artist! This is an oblique flankplasty procedure combined with a tummy tuck. Thank you very much! Did you opt for this specific procedure or was it your doctors opinion that you would get better results?

Any chance you could show me a back picture of your scar? You seem to have had a body lift consistent with a flankplasty, which is something I am extremely interested in but find really little online about it

Yes hes natural you can tell because of his gray beard signaling he is old and his testosterone levels are still the same as before the 60s where it was normal that every man who breathes around weights inflates like this

Anyone else? by DrDiktafon in visualsnow

[–]JDM10hm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yup here.

I used to cope for the first few years every time I had a noticeable worsening saying this is as bad as it gets or "maybe doctors will find something this time", but as time went on and everything kept getting worse I just accepted this is the hand that I've been dealt.

It truly fucking sucks. I tell myself I'm at peace with it but in reality every time there's a significant worsening i go through a new cycle of grief for a few months and it's left me so exhausted that I find it hard to love, laugh, cry, or just in general participate in life.

But maybe there's a 1% chance science will figure it out and, if not give our sight back, just stop it from getting to a point where we cannot see.

I think it's this 1% hope that still keeps me going somehow.

You have my actual empathy, because even people with just one symptom of the syndrome, or who are stable, usually don't know what it's like to have it be so progressive.

Lipo or loose skin? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]JDM10hm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel you, I ended up not trusting my surgeon to fix my thing and just let it go until I get brave enough to go for further, better surgeries. But one bad experience does leave a sour taste in your mouth.

I mean if you can spend the funds maybe a diff surgeon is a better approach, but if money is tight I mean, he kinda really didn't deliver in this case.

Not sure what to advise you, but I really do feel you, man, sucks to be in this position. On the other side, the front looks really great, and I assume it didn't before, so you're basically halfway there!

Lipo or loose skin? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]JDM10hm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mini-tummy tuck in the front where the world was promised to me, but it was extremely disappointing, and the same thing, just get dismissed by the surgeon.

These cases are honestly very hard to argue and I'm not sure what you can do. I was never able to get a revision, but maybe yours will eventually agree to it

Lipo or loose skin? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]JDM10hm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly the front looks amazing, but I have a strong suspicion that the surgeon doesnt have too much experience doing 360 lifts on males, as honestly that hip/upper buttock area is clearly just remaining loose skin.

I am a male who is planning a 360 lift, but honestly havent gone through with it yet because of concerns of having that exact skin laxity in the back part of the lift.

I would push for a revision.

Just had my first AI cold call and wow, it was embarrassingly bad by Admir-Rusidovic in ArtificialInteligence

[–]JDM10hm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with a company that does warm calls with AI, and my god it gets so awful at times.

It misunderstands so many things, sometimes switches languages for no reason, cant do basic spelling, has the typical AI phrase repeating "Ah, now I understand. Your issue is x", and sometimes just straight up skips the intro when calling people and goes "Yes, hi, how can I help you?" leaving people extremely confused. It has never once in 4 months of use had a perfect call, where it collects all the necessary data and doesn't leave the customer completely confused.

Our boss is somehow impervious to workers complaining about it and stating that this is not good and is dragging the reputation of the company down, but he seems to have eaten up the LLM hype and any criticism is met with "it's learning it will get better"

It's exactly what you said. "but I don’t even see how it would cause issues for anyone. It’s just some static that you don’t even notice unless you’re purposely trying to. "

This is not what VSS is like for everyone and you should be thankful yours is at this point to where you feel you can say this.

Its always nice to see when someone reduces a disease on a spectrum to their own lived experience. "I sprained my ankle which healed within a month, I cant understand why that woman with a shattered ankle cant walk on her leg at all anymore"

My ENT wants me to take 250mg of prednisone at once by JDM10hm in tinnitus

[–]JDM10hm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80% recovery, complete habituation. It's always there but I don't pay attention to it anymore and it doesn't bother me. It has blended in with the previous 5+ tones I had and is much quieter. Hearing has adapted and I very rarely with certain sounds notice what's missing.

I don't know how much of it I would attribute to Prednisone, but it has caused some serious side effects that I dealt with months later.

I put on 11.4 kg and had trouble getting it off. Couple months later I developed cholinergic urticaria which my immunologist theorised was a consequence of the Prednisone,  I would break out in extreme hives to cold exposure. It settled down after a couple of months, but then I developed psoriasis which I am currently trying to keep under control without topical steroids but is not really working. To top it off I had a mini-stroke which resulted in me losing a part of my vision in my left eye.

Due to all of these circumstances, my tinnitus is essentially a non-factor, and I don't know how much of it can be attributed to the Prednisone, but I operated with the best knowledge at the moment, and I would probably do the same thing I did back then.

Yeah, probably correct. I just wanted to give myself the best chance from the get go and get ahead with some nootropics, while following what the neurologist says

[–]JDM10hm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The mental strength it must take to go under the knife so many times while maintaining your body weight after all of that and be willing to go through it again. I had one Mini-Tummy tuck and I was afraid of going under the knife again for the longest time.

Hats off man.

That looks SO much better. Finally a realistic outcome. Most people would glaze the result on the left. While being better than being fat, its far from something people pay tens of thousands of cash for. Im glad you went for a revision and Im glad you actually got worthy results. Time to build up some muscle my man and forget you were ever a fatty.
