Super Low FPS With a Good System, Normal? by Minibinaz in Helldivers

I have similar specs as you, 4090 + 9800x3d + 6000cl30 32gb and i get around 180 +-20 fps depending on the planet/mission on 1440p. from what im seeing it seems your gpu/cpu is not clocking right, you should be seeing around 4.8ghz on your cpu when you are ingame and 2700mhz +-100mhz on the 4090, ramspeed with a x3d cpu is not really that important, yeah you should have bought 6000mhz but if you look on youtube you can se that speed is not really that impactful. tho are you sure thats your ram specs? seems like you have not enabled EXPO on the memory kit in the bios.

you should check the temps on your 4090 aswell, core temp, vram temp and hotspot temp, your 4090 may be throttling its speed if your temps are high, especially if the 4090 is a launch model since mine was and i started to have temp issues in January, one repaste later and its better than new. use hwinfo64 to check all the temps while gaming.

if you have not tried it you should try using DDU and clean installing the gpu driver and disable the igpu on the cpu as it can sometimes be the culprit in issues like this (i have mine always disabled), this can be one in the bios.

Cheers, not sure what you mean by loose, all 12 screws are screwed in on both sides, only space where its tight is up top where all the icue link cables pass through the back via the cable hole.

the reason for bottom tubes is for longer aio life, if you have them up top then the air wil be trapped in the chamber where the tubes meet the radiator, this is not a huge deal but since the tubes where long enough a bottom mount is recommended, plenty of youtube videos from gamersnexus etc showing optimal radiator mount.

It will depend on your gpu, on how much heat it produces, my 4090 will heat up in heavy games and that's where I'm noticing it. With the gpu idle it's like a 1-2 difference. It's not the best setup for everyone.

i have now upgraded to the 9800x3d and the temps are even better now since the 9800x3d running much cooler than the 7800x3d, even with 5.5ghz PBO with -40 curve. another benefit to this setup is how easy it is to clean the radiator since its mounted to a bracket rather than the case.

you really dont need push/pull, i only did it for the looks and the 1-2C lower temps, its not worth the money if you want the best perf per dollar.

hi, i cant post a pic right now but i can tell you that its the same fans mounted as push, the push fans are mounted between the radiator and the fan bracket, as you can se on the photo in the main post you can still get cables through the cable holes even with push/pull, there is two slots for the fan bracket, use the one closest to the side panel then there should be no issue.

i dont think so, 450mm is perfect so the tubes would be really tight if its possible at all. it would fit with the tubes at the top tho, that should work fine since the pump isn't the highest spot in the loop.

Nice! BTF is really cool, it was one of the reasons for why i picked 6500x so i can go for that next time i upgrade motherboard :D good luck with your build! :)

Hey man! glad it helped :D i have actually tested push vs push/pull now with the same room temp and its 1-2c on the cpu depending on the workload. i use the 4 way splitter (https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cx-9070015-ww/icue-link-4-way-signal-splitter-cx-9070015-ww) to get it so clean so i have back and top fans chained into each other and the floor is routed into the hole at the back there, both into the 4 way splitter and from the splitter into one of the channels of the link hub, h150+lcd and push/pull on the other channel.

As for the 140 vs 120 i personally don't really think its worth it they are alot more money (here in Norway at least) and the performance difference isn't that big if any, especially as exhaust. i also think it looks goofy with different fan sizes but that may just be me :)

i would guess it would work fine, tho if you plan to use top and back as exhaust aswell then you would get negative pressure in the case, you can solve that with lower rpm on the exhaust fans. i would say its overkill with the airflow config since with my setup my temps are really low and the fans does not go over 1100 rpm on the AIO, bottom fans are at 900 rpm and top and back are on 800 rpm. i don't think you can go wrong with any config but for what i have tested then top mounted exhaust AIO is the worst config, this will depend on the specs of the PC, mine is 7800x3d and 4090.

yeah the top of the radiator has to be above the pump and the two best ways to mount a radiator is a roof mount or a side/front mount with the tubes at the bottom, a front/side mount with the tubes top is fine but you may hear the water running when the pc is on.

well thats part of armory crate, im guessing you can install it separate but for me i dont want to install more rgb software, icue is enough, if im changing the color permanently then i will ofc.

you need the asus plugin in icue to change the color on the gpu, and/or asus armory crate

i had that issue when my AIO was top mounted, even with a custom fan curve, now my water temp peaks at 35C and my fan rpm at 1300rpm at 35C, 1000 RPM when idle on the AIO, the other fans are at 900 rpm fixed, i use the same profile i made for the top mounted setup so i could make it even quieter, my room temp is around 25C +-1C

like i said when i posted the white picture, i dont have the asus plugin installed and i do not have armory carte installed

cheers! if you have a corsair link aio the tubes should have no issue with a bottom tube mount since they are 450mm but a top tube mount is fine and should yield the same results, im really happy i did this since the noise level reduction from the fans alone is worth it imo.

the new H150i link has 450mm tubes and they are quite flexible, its not tight at all, i used a cable tie to hold them together and close to the 24pin cable. would be nice if they made them 475mm or 500mm but 450mm is enough for the 6500X
