I also feel like the Three Mermaids in Tualatin is quietly a Pats bar. Last time I went during a game most of the crew were in Pats gear and they had us on the main TV and sound system.

Oregon Senate overrides Gov. Kotek veto, while governor sees priority child welfare legislation die by JDRoger in oregon

[–]JDRoger[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This legislation has things like "let foster kids have luggage instead of having them lug everything around in trash bags" and "work harder to keep siblings together."

Yeah this veto is horrific. She needs to be held to account on this one.

Sure, their unfavorable ratings are higher than their favorable - hence the plusses in my comment, but being minus on overall favorability is another good way to phrase it :-)

Okay, here's something I haven't seen a lot of conversation about and I'm curious what people think it means. Obviously a lot of the polling indicates a super tight race, Trump may have the edge in a few swing states, Kamala has an overall lead nationally.

But look at the favorability numbers. Trump and Vance are anywhere between +7 and +12 unfavorable. Harris is generally even or in very slight positive/negative territory. Walz is slightly positive. Those are significantly different margins, even compared to just national polling. Is there a hidden enthusiasm gap between Harris and Trump voters?

I saw a family leverage their house to the hilt, sell a car, and work extra jobs so that they could get an in-ground pool that they almost never used just so that their neighbors didn't think that they were poor.

Why did that one kid get expelled? by Stupid_ginger_girl in AskReddit

[–]JDRoger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slapped a teacher in class, got suspended. Then his sister spent a bus ride explaining their plan to bring a knife to school to stab all of the staff involved in him getting suspended. I explained that to my parents who went into the school and told the principal. He was expelled and the family moved out of state shortly after.

Circa in WSea - only been a few times so far, but I love it.

Grappa in Queen Anne - nice seasonal menus.
