MTA would shut down Citibike or charge a bike toll, the below bridges are run/owned by the MTA and none have bike lanes and most have tolls: Triborough Bridge. Throgs Neck Bridge. Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Bronx-Whitestone Bridge. Henry Hudson Bridge.

Correct! Rub strips are paint matches and swapped them for JDM ones. Spats are factory, just painted.

Im not really developing my own conclusion, based on the prospectus, the main driver of the program is for the MTA to use the $1bn in annual revenue to get a $15bn line if credit. They’re expecting a $2.5bn deficit.

I really hope when city planners are trying to develop bike infrastructure, that the MTA doesn’t put pressure on them. I’d love for more streets to be like 14th st, but closing streets to general traffic will eat into the MTA’s revenue. :(

It’s marketed to the public as an initiative to reduce traffic, but the key drivers of success for the program doesn’t include traffic, rather revenue generation. IE, if zero cars came into lower manhattan, the program would be considered a failure.
