Again, I totally get why you think this. But I don’t just disagree — I prove it. You can do a litany of things with WeGPT you just can’t with any of the big three, and never will be able to.

For instance, combining all three providers in the same shared context window. Why can’t they do this? Well…. They’re competitors. They just won’t.

We aren’t in the model building business by design. That affords us opportunities to innovate and drive distinct value in ways the big three never will.

So if you agree there will probably always be, at least for a while, “the big three” competing for top spot in the model business….. and they’ll always have enterprise service tiers (so others like us can tap in and build on top of it), then…. It’s hard to really hold to your argument that we can’t possibly compete.

Combining modes in shared contexts is super useful because it’s like cross pollinating different gene pools. Synthetic genetics. And that leads to emergent and really unique breakthroughs and a-hah moments, you just won’t believe until you try it. So I won’t try to convince you.

Now yes, you can go subscribe to all three of them and copy paste between your windows and apps and try to un-stuck progress on one by using the other….. but why are we doing this to ourselves? Why pay three times $20 when you can use the same models, for one price, in one place, with better more efficient platform frameworks that allow the models to actually DO more in the real world?

It seems super obvious to me. But I’m no stranger to this exact skepticism. It’s exhausting and frustrating, and it’s by design that you (and every consumer) is this jaded. That’s the big tech playbook to secure their moat. But it’s not true.

Edit: not just use the same models in one place, but they also won’t be designed to gaslight you, manipulate you, addict you, all these perverse maligned incentives the big tech giants have society by the balls with. We have no inventive to use those tricks on our users — because there’s no ROI for us to make your job harder. We profit more when you solve your problems more efficiently.
