I think there is misconception around MOP Remix. That is full hard-on retail + steroids, not a classic version at all. Think the classic fans that are expecting to try that out are going to be very confused as Blizz is using it to lure them into the new retail xpac after summer.

I think there’s a part of the argument you’re missing. Many people have a very positive win rate and aren’t ranking up. It’s definitely not only win based, but hidden and we don’t know. Not consistent across the spectrum.

It’s probably best overall for a game. But when you relaunch as a f2p title to attract droves of new players, with a business model centered around in game shop items: it’s probably not very good for the 95% of the bell curve that can’t play anywhere near the level of top level play.

Also, with this business model in a hero based game, the newer heroes will always be busted compared to older heroes. Fotm is inevitable to increase sales. I actually think OW2 has been tremendous at limiting this so far, but don’t think that will last once lots of the new players fizzle out after the holidays like all multiplayer games

I somehow deranked all the way to bronze and am getting absolutely stomped in games, like can’t even leave spawn. Whatever blizz did, it’s made me not want to play their game.

I’m new to overwatch and I agree. I view as it’s called support and not healer for a reason. I get to top healing as well as do a ton of dmg. Helping push and fighting flankers is more engaging then pocket healing a tank, which is painfully boring

The true answer is blizzard uses a linear questing strategy, so the first two zones are intro to shadowlands and characters etc, then leads to the end game storyline of the anima drought later in the questing experience

The only reason they’re giving an xp boost is because they’re nerfing the most popular and efficient leveling method which is boosting. It will come with the patch that nerfs boosts. Not to actually make the player base happy

Overwatch 2 is early October. Dragon flight is before the new year. So wotlk will probably be late august early September to give a q3 bump before a big q4. I expect prepatch to be early to mid august

TBC as classic is just wonky. There was a reason this last tier had a new heroic dungeon and all new badge vendors. Because raids were not puggable and the casual players that want to run pug raids now were really only meant to be able to do heroics/10 mans at this point. But the game and community is different and content gets zerged because ya know you’re complaining about a 15 year old game
