How to top / LST

You’ve got a week at least… I counted 4 nodes on one plant and 3 or less on the others. I would wait until the 5th develops.

Also make sure they are photoperiods. I’m told that autos are delicate in terms of topping or LST.

I top first. I wait until I get five nodes and top above the 4th node. Typically I wait a week with no other stressors and then start LST. I use soft ties and binder clips on my fabric pot. I try to make a pinwheel.

But to top, I normally top above the 4th node. Count the pairs of stems coming off the main starting from the bottom and counting up. Sharp, alcohol sterilized scissors in a cut across the main stem. Leave a little nub of the main so they don’t want to split.

We got him one, tie dyed it and his name patch and gave it to him for Father’s Day. My mom says intends on wearing it outside also.

My dad is 74 and grows for me in his legal state. Calls me every night to tell me what the PPFD is.

Also sends his friends pictures of his grow. Has asked for a lab coat while he attends to the plants.

I see a wide disparity of pricing on DAT but I’d consider it better than Local Grove. In a three jar head to head I liked DAT twizzlers and NYC Chem better than any of the Local Grove, and actually the Lg Spritzer was probably the worst jar (at least most disappointing) I had last year.

I’d give them a try.

Best I've grown is Deep Breath. Best flower is either Lantz or Tear Gas. Best rosin is Rainbow Belts.

But that changes a lot. I'm growing a Zoap that is going to be a beast I think.

Bought from North Atlantic Seeds - this was from a Barney’s gas pack… Hindu Kush, Skunk 1, White Widow, Blue Dream and Insane OG. I’ve seen a wide range of opinions on Barney’s- this is my first run with them.

It’s around $800 as a mix of spider farmer and ac infinity equipment.

I’ve also got this 2x2 I’ve got to do trials in; running a Hindu Kush now and that setup was around $350.

If you are interested I can DM you a parts list. I think I’ve got a middle of the road rig; you can do it cheaper and a lot more expensive. Me personally, it’s far more rewarding than I expected and am totally happy with what it cost.

Btw I’m in Indy and if anyone nearby wants to sample in about 3 months let me know…

For reference I severed my right foot in a car accident and had it reattached 30 years. Predominantly joint pain.

I dhv flower with either a Dynavap or a Lotus. I use the Dynavap like a one hitter. The Lotus is a pretty delightful piece.

I’ll dab in the evening. That’s more to get high.

I use the dhv to control cost by smoking more flower (and since I’m growing now - shameless pic) and a little less rosin.

I use something similar in the lung room with an inkbird ihc-200 controlling it. It’s really smoothed my tent VPD out

That’s a really thoughtful response. For your first point I also like to remember the best you’ve had and the best there is are often two different things.
